They look so weird, but I guess they were just bread that way.

this game is cisspeciesist, I am going to write an angry letter about how they are actively promoting autisticdragon-erasure

Wait, if you choose the genders/identities/whatever outside of the straight/cis ones, why do you need a wheelchair and guide stick on your avatar? Are the genderbread people insinuating that non-cis/stright genders are disabilities? I thought this was a gender-focused game, and not a disability focused one? I'm so confused...

I made a non-straight/non-cis genderbread and it didn't have a wheelchair or a guide stick. I think this game is just really weird.

I think the concept of the game is a good idea for teaching young people about gender stuff (how expression differs from identity and so on and so forth), but I feel like it could have been executed better.

The original genderbread person really annoys me for some reason

I feel like it contributes to "I have a vagina but I like math so I have a male brain" type thinking.

What the actual shit is "gender independent"?

Also LOL, Tumblr dropped the "genderbread person" like a hot potato when they found out a filthy cishet (Sam Killermann) made it.

of course I had to go for the stupid bird shirt

Honestly though it's pretty "eh" - seems pretty stupid to have "gender expression" have shit like hobbies and interests linked in. How you dress and general presentation makes sense as that is what expression would be, but liking one thing or another? Ergh. Way to stick to the very same gender roles people want to bring down I suppose. It'd also be nice if for gender identity they actually had non-binary instead of just tacking on "genderqueer" (which is a very square-and-rectangle situation - genderqueer are NB but not all NB are genderqueer).

Sexual orientations literally don't even matter for the whole gender thing either so that's pretty pointless too. Anywho, those are my two spergy cents.

This chart is actually less convoluted than the game.

And when I first saw the title of this thread I thought we had discovered a group of lolcows who identified their gender as "bread." You never know nowadays!

Apparently a person fitting this criteria isn't speshul enough for a design.

If you click on the list of cookie characters recently made, you can get a pretty strong "I was assigned to do this" feeling from some of them. There's quite a few that are just all straight, all male, gender expression not even touched, no accessories chosen. I'm imagining a whole class of kids ordered to create a genderbread (urgh, that name) person and the students going "WTF? Whatever, I have to. *click click* DONE can I go now?"

You're more optimistic than I am - my guess would be trolls aiming to get it over with quickly so they can spam the survey portion with something or other.

They don't have any Masculine Blonde Hair Styles! How are people like @CuriousBystander @Dr. Meme Ellen Degeneres and myself suppose to express themselves via the Gender-Bread Maker?

It doesn't even remotely look like me! It's because I'm Cis, male, and I only identify with one sexual orientation.

They look so weird, but I guess they were just bread that way.
You could say that they are inbread?
