While I can't stop you in any sense, I beg of you not to be a douche with any data you collect using my program. Loggers are unavoidable in a way, because they can't easily be detected and all it involves is dumping data from JSON to a file. You could make one easily as a webextension or something. The point is: while people will always neglect the fact nothing is ever truly deleted online (except maybe the metokur forum), constantly holding people's words—much less throwaway chat messages—against them in direct conversation is only a recipe for disaster.

Indeed, the sin of detraction is a sin for good reason, it benefits no one and serves only to break bonds decay trust and ruin fellowship.
