There were people reminiscing earlier during the date stream on hlgg about how Mori’s silly debut and autistic demeanor sold them on HoloEN as a whole.

I’m pretty sure Cover was expecting HoloStars level of subscribers, maybe HoloID at best. The girls themselves have admitted on stream that this level of success is far beyond what they expected; Mori breaking down during her first akasupa spam makes for funny content, but its also her trying to deal with imposter syndrome — that feeling of not really deserving your lot in life (They’ve talked about it with each other during collabs, I think)

It's kinda weird how they couldn't have seen the popularity coming. Coco was all the rage when EN was released just at the time Vtubers were getting popular in the mainstream plus the fact that they speak English 100% of the time (unlike Coco) giving them a bigger audience than the Dragon ever could. Even Nips watch EN. Plus, the debut was professional looking unlike stumbling with OBS and audio.

Though, as it has been said here, high subscribers don't guarantee audience engagement for a long time.

Fubuki has two sets of ears; the fox ears for animals, the human ears for people. For her boss Yagoo, she needs to use both to understand him.

The question was worded pretty poorly and Kiara mentioned that this is actually criticism she gets in things like DMs and Twitter replies, and has made it quite clear she reads everything. I'm guessing you haven't watched her since then but that guy apologized and Kiara said he didn't need to, and she was sorry for the fans getting on his back about it. Thing is, Kiara views her multilingual fluency as her only talent and when you're up against a rap god, a top-tier artist, a siren and the anime version of DarkSydePhil, suddenly you don't feel like you deserve the chance at success you were given. She honestly came into her own during the Among Us collab with the 5th generation, and people recognized her as being amazing at controlling the conversation so everyone had their say, even when she was dead and needed to translate for the Impostors. She also got spurred on by a few of the other senior members she's worked with, and is basically doing collab streams with anyone who will say yes. And then there's the fact that she's going to put her talent to use with a talk show where she interviews a different girl every 2 weeks so that the overseas fandom who only knew of them through clips gets to know them a bit more on a personal level; think Tamaki but for hololive only and in English.

A popular little “fan-canon” idea I’ve seen is Kiara is the one that sent Pekora a marshmallow and asked about advice on being a professional Vtuber. I dunno how well they knew each other though since Pekora showing up in Kirara’s debut stream literally made the chicken lose her voice for a bit.

I don't think I started that, but I did bring it to the attention of a lot of people. Sorry, I guess?

Seriously though, i don't get why people go out of their way to propose to Vtubers and thirst over them directly in their replies, even if it's """ironic""". I can understand being horny for the vtuber character to an extent, but to be horny in the replies or in a superchat, that's creepy and attention-seeking. But since it's Domo, i guess nobody's suprised. I've always felt like something is off with him.

A lot of people do it now just to see what their reaction is. Now people have gone on to ask for opinions on pineapple pizza.

I cut her a bit of slack since she was in the fucked-up idol industry in Japan as a young teen, and that will take toll on you mentally and make you a bit cracked, egg pun intended. Also consider that she's extremely homesick, and that'll do shit to you, mentally. Not that Japan is some horror show to be stuck in but sometimes you wanna just go home, regardless of where you are. I honestly think she's gotten better since a month ago.

So I reserve any negative comments for now, but if she regresses once she goes back to Austria, I may rescind my feelings.

Yeah, it was him. I didn't know either until I looked more into him and why the fuck a degenerate trog like him would be "famous" in the community. Look, I love the girls but I'm not dropping $500 for any of them for just a 10-second Superchat "アリガトウ!!"

A handful of money here and there, and memberships/merch for my faves, but no more than that. I'm really not into the whole "waifu" thing and I really don't like 'lewding' Vtubers either, I reserve them for wholesome feelings only. Furthest I'll go is some ecchi content/art or what have you as long as it's on-brand for the girl in question (Choco, Marine, Mel, etc.).

But some people got no dignity nor shame trying to creep on them live and in-chat, but yeah, Domo's not a surprise; his depravity knows little bounds. I just keep hoping he slips up and someone whistleblows him to kingdom come.

I admit I didn’t appreciate Inui enough until I heard her cover of Rain & Cappucino, but the girl has a great set of husky pipes. unfortunately, she’s usually pretty understated, so you don’t see many clips.

I did finally officially join 35p after Miko came back, but otherwise I have a hard time settling, so many of them have things I enjoy. Probably Ayame would be the other big one. Her laugh is super infectious and her intro music is so great.
