^This thread any time they think they have a reason to hate on Kiara, I swear.
Meanwhile, the clip is such shit the clipper has privated it. Because it removes a ton of context both before and after.
NAND has got the gist of it. But let's actually look at the fucking VOD instead of commenting on some contextless clip like a bunch of CNN-watching Sheep. Timestamped to when the discussion ACTUALLY starts
The lead up to the clip has:
- 100k was initial goal. Once they got it at the debut, they expected to peak around 3-400k.
- Admits immediately that the thoughts she has surrounding this is caused exclusively by her lack of confidence
- As NAND says, she has no frame of reference for EXCLUSIVELY Holo-EN branch. And admits all of this discussion is couched exclusively surrounding the EN girls
- Jokes the audience are all "DDD" and are ready to jump onto the next cute VTuber at a moments notice (something I've seen Akirose, Fubuki, and Lamy have talked about just off the top of my head)
Clip starts at this point
After the clip:
-
Goes on to talk about being last place was probably her own fault due to her niche game choices stunting her growth
- Says she wouldn't change that though because she would much rather be happy and play her JRPGs and other weird games, rather than just play games exclusively for the sake of attracting people
- Admits if she had made those numbers on her own, it would have been amazing. But then she makes the correct point when you're part of a team, your point of comparison is that team.
- Admits she used be worse on herself in the beginning, and it's something she's still working on, wants to be able to ignore this shit in the future.
- Talks about all the shit Youtube did to her (the week+ long shadowban is the big example she uses). Frustrated because she feels bad the people who worked on the video (illustrators, song creators) didn't get the appreciation they deserve for the effort that was put into it
But, c'mon guys, she hit 1 million subs right? Who cares about years of mental hangups from being literally stalked out of her industry, failing for years at her goals and career, and nearly resigning her self to a life of office work. She's made it on Youtube! It's not like they have a habit of completely deleting channels for no reason, or changing their bullshit rules overnight and removing all monetization from a channel for no reason, right? She should have just bucked up in the last 8 months and be happy with everything she has now!
