Azur Lane is already dying. They replaced Atago's VA and it killed the game in japan. They've been desperately pumping out japanese units to try and regain lost ground there but it doesnt seem to be working.
Now CCP are putting heavy regulations on gaming, labling them "electronic drugs" and investors are running from chinese games.
Any game that doesnt have a healthy audience outside china able to support it is on executioners row just waiting to see how far the CCP goes with the regulations, of course this isnt just limited to gacha games, every game company that invested heavily in china is fucked.
I don't think China will go far with their regulations. When you're a Communist country you need to have a symbiotic relationship with these money-makers so that the economy doesn't fall out of its ass, and gaming is the biggest entertainment industry in the world.
Hearing her quietly sob to herself like that is heart breaking. Selen wasn't wrong, this game hurts you.
I haven't watched the vid and don't know what she's said, but it's less about the game and moreso about it being her first tournament setting. Not only that, she's team captain, which means she's the one who reached out to the other two to make the team.
She recruited Yuuki Chihiro, a serial winner at APEX and usually one of the competition's heavyweights, so if she feels she's letting someone like that down its unfortunately going to bubble over. Fubuki and Roboco had the same issue where they felt they were holding Kurumi Noah back in the last tournament and Fubuki hasn't been in a competition since.
I think it'll be fine though. Chii-chan had a similar issue in a previous tournament where Kanae/Kuzuha schizo fans were berating her by saying the boys 'carry' her. It got so bad she had to make a PSA asking people to knock it off even if the comments are in jest. Her team (comprised of herself, Ratna, and Ibrahim) went on to win the tournament. So if anyone is going to understand how Uto feels it'll be Chii-chan.
