Mkay, saw some holos and niji ens' reactions to that mario movie casting.
Not one pointed out it's from illumination studio. It's kind of a red flag for bland, virtue-signaling baloney. And in some clips it's even omitted.

The chainsaw got me good
Botan's 'poi' for me.
Also had that in my recommended today.

And, speaking of L4D, girls actually had a collab yesterday.

I wonder what the Chinese side of things looks like.
The official announcement posted on Bilibili yesterday has 17 comments, which are all snarky jokes. Basically nobody gives a shit, which is the weirdest thing about this whole situation. The Chinese guy who was going to restream the event on his personal Bilibili channel said he didn't want to, so rather than just not have him restream it, they fucked up the entire event so bad that they had to cancel the whole thing. The stream only gets a few thousand viewers, and they upload translated trailers of all the games anyway, so they really weren't missing out on anything. It's a really bizarre overreaction.

I know L4D2 mods were big back in the days but I didn't think youtube would me recommend a video like this:

The grenade launcher sound is good too! Botan noises are cute!

Good, they get what they deserve for targeting one of their own guests for bugmen money that won't even happen!

Probably corporate policy of not picking fights with other companies. Illumination is a horseshit animation studio whose works are best described as blander than fucking cream crackers and as daring and innovative as crossing an empty street, but they still put their money on advertising and shit, where Cover and Anycolor make good money by making partnerships!

It's so cringy yet cute!

Yup, and it looks like Illumination is already working there Magic.
All they do is maximize the interest of their movies by shoving the celebrity cast down your throat and shoving a bunch of advertisements in your face.
Only for the end result to be a pretty forgettable movie then nobody is going to remember within a day or so.

Korone sneeze will always ruin me, it just so colossal and gets me into a laughing fit everytime
Nene...
In other news, Mumei's membership is open for business.
Poor Mei though, her membership stream only lasted 28 mins, she really wasn't feeling all that too great but she put on a smile and went as long as she could.

because their CEO is obsessed with China and thinks it's a huge opportunity, it's an idea that's been sold a lot in the games industry and I knew it'd come back to bite them. I'm enjoying watching it all burn, from activision blizzard to traitorous scum like this

I hope to see as many stocks shorting and crashing as possible next fiscal quarter due to china's 3 hour a week game ban. Serves them right.

Eh, that ban is just for kids. And even then, it's probably up to parental supervision.

That was a couple of bans ago, it's been getting worse basically nonstop for the last month. They're now banning "pornographic, bloody, terrifying, political, money worship and effeminacy" content
ALL new games are banned indefinitely until they're satisfied they can be policed to their satisfaction

For online games, iirc, it's up to the company running the game. So online games, mobile games that have to connect to the internet, etc. The company has to limit minors to 3 hours a week or they (the company) get in trouble.

BUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN KIDS JUST LIE AND SAY THEY'RE 18?? China is an authoritarian shithole so signing in to practically anything requires your real identity.

That's just a start. There are several endgoals Xi want by cracking down on the game industry, one of whom is reshaping the current culture of mainland China to fit in line more with the party. Even more so since they believe there's a "masculinity crisis" going on

The current "Common Prosperity" plan Xi and CCP is pushing is basically a massive-scale "striking down the nail that sticks out", so anything that might look "different" than what they planned will be targeted, most likely including game addiction for all ages

Yeah, there’s a lot of shit in China that just sounds genuinely terrifying to have to live through every day.

Enough about China, time to bless our souls with Ame singing

Most of them are already banned actually in China, the new ones are the money worships and the "sissy men", so basically attacking the rich classes and celebrities, and also the LGBT crowds
Also, apparently the more official word is the new game permits are just "slowed down", but I suspect that's just a lip service for the foreign investors and new game are basically going to be stopped from being released on China

And there's a recent development as well where the game companies are "asked" to implement harsher and stricter restrictions to prevent the kids from circumventing the time limit, like borrowing or renting adults ID. So suffice to say, they're really going full force with the restrictions

Now back on VTubers, Korone on her karaoke stream sang the Indonesian folk songs medley HoloID made. For a Japanese, she sang it pretty well
The full stream
