Did anyone screencap/archive the whole thing, for posterity :story:
Welp, I guess I have to contribute eventually. Pray forgive my virgin screencap post.

Sakana even dropped by too, in that 20 minute gap between Cat's posts.

The rest of it is just chatter awkwardly trying to change the subject.

.......it's literally a play on the word janitor. How soft do you have to be to get offended by being compared to a janitor. They aren't even calling you a tranny janny. Ask someone off the street if janitors should be respected and you will get near 100% agreement that they should be.

Being thin skinned is for sure one of the worst traits a mod of anything could ever have.

The funniest thing is that the other Discord jannies even chimed in to say that they're alright with being called jannies. So it's literally just one guy getting buck broken by /vt/ of all things.

To be fair, Pip's IRL mod is a wrangler who used to tard out.
If a furfag can chill, I'm willing to give UnluckyCat some slack.
Maybe a bad day.
Turn the other cheek and all that other gay nonsense.

My opinion towards PC is starting to sour lately,, not sure how to describe it but I'm getting the same vibes as with nyanners before she threw her audience under the bus the moment she got a lick of fame.

I'm just gonna jump ship before I am disappointed once again, it was good while it lasted.
I'd like to know what's giving you that vibe. Other than maybe the thing with UnluckyCat that just happened, there hasn't really been anything that's stuck out to me. And who specifically are you comparing to Nyanners? Or are you saying that it's the whole company giving you that vibe? I don't get that sense from any of them at all, really. Maybe I'm just naive, idk. They all still seem to be going strong. I think it's a bit of an overreaction on your part.

Something weird about PC is that I can't really pinpoint what direction they want to take things in. Other than Uruka and the JP girls I don't really see them really going the normal Idol route. Then you have Pippa with her shitposts and autistic chat yet it seems that she gets tard wrangled the most out of them all in that they should try to keep thing as seiso as possible. To me it feels like they are just trying anything and everything and hoping something lands but at the same time they are a bit too scared of giving the talents too much freedom for fear of getting Twitter cancelled.
Yeah the weird thing with Phase Connect right now is it seems like Fishman or just higher management can't decide between freedom to do whatever and chasing Hololive Idol sort of stuff. They've got girls with some higher freedom (Pippa, Tenma, Lia) to do whatever but with weird barriers like "Can't collab with males... but we're not an idol company". I can understand tard wrangling Pippa's chat because having the 1 vtuber on your company who has a chat that accumulates the 4chan audience that eventually goes on to freely spam "niggerfaggot" in the chat will either end up with your whole agency being a no-go agency or getting Pippa banned off youtube (or both). But when a jannie moderator gets a bit uppity over a few members in chat going "lmao jannie does it for free" and has a meltdown in the public discord and (presumably) private company discord its fucking retarded, especially when they still haven't figured out how to fucking perma-ban the resident youtube spambot that drives by once and a while. I really want to know the vetting process for the YT chat mods for Phase Connect, considering for equally small vtuber agency, Cyberlive, apparently had one of their chat mods decide to visit the Phase Connect discord and start shitposting and mogging UnluckyCat while the rest of them according to /clg/ are rather based.

With how Tenma gets absolutely pissed that the chat jannies don't actually do their jobs every other week. I'm assuming most of them are just there to have the Blue Name which gets their messages noticed and read out more frequently over Green Member Name and Poorfag White Name. Personally I'd just call for new applicants and try to fit them to the streamers they apply for (Someone who gets mad at being called a Jannie shouldn't be a moderator for Pippa's chat for example) and then just purge a majority of the current jannies.
Only thing I can gather is Discord nonsense and it was just unlucky cat getting buck broken by /vt/ and friends.
I got this from /vt/ and it seems to be that case.

I have a question for you guys.

I've noticed a huge lack of women in the vtuber fandom. Is this because sexual orientation is the biggest factor in determining if someone enjoys watching vtubers?

If that's true, can it be said that men watch female vtubers because it gives artificial romantic or sexual feelings?

I personally don't feel like it's why I watch vtubers, but I can't deny that the absence female fans is weird and has some implications.

Kson can freely added accessory to her model and I think that's hella cool. With how the corporated Vtuber can't mess with their model (we talked here a few month ago and speculate that it's probably prohibit by some rule or ownership bullshit), this is one huge benefit for Kson going indie. Also in the meme stream, she have this hand holding a microphone that a fan make PNG for her just last night, and it naturally move with her body movement instead of having to be move around with a mouse. Very rad.

Kson have quite a bit of female fans, along with Mori and surprisingly Marine. I think it isn't that "lewder = coomer bait for horndog only". It's more about how the streamer appeal to a certain type of people and how the fanbase grow and shape its own? My brain is too wired to explain atm. maybe someone will do better than me.

Specifically on the spam bot. They almost certainly permaban the account. It's just there are a thousand different accounts with all the same name posting the same message.

Nightbot could probably handle that, but that isn't on a random mod to set up.

A decent chunk of female vtubers got into the business because they were fans of pre-existing vtubers prior to trying out themselves. There are also female fans creating vtuber fanworks, like Pan Piano. I doubt there's anything approaching parity between male and female fans, but the female fanbase does exist.

UnluckyCat got massively tilted by YT chat calling him a jannie and to clean up chat after someone spammed a bunch of slurs that start with N. And then one retard in the discord also called him a jannie and that fully tilted UnluckyCat. /pcg/ was also railling him for being a concernfriend over Pippa's "sickness" at the start of the stream.

A little while after another PhaseConnect mod Cipher posted in the thread. He has posted backchannel mod stuff in /pcg/ in the past which is pretty yikes and kinda unprofessional if you ask me. Funnily enough he has posted he face on his twitter and he looks about what you'd expect from vtuber mod but black.

No homo.

I remember Pomu saying a work around for that is to specifically put their username as a no-go word in whatever moderation list YT chat has. I assume that's only accessible by the channel owner though.

On top of what @Thomas Talus said; Who do you think the primary audience for male vtubers are? I remember most of the Nijisanji EN girls have talked about how they got interested due to the Male JP livers. I believe the only two that expressed primary interest in female Niji livers are Pomu with Mito (though she still watches some males iirc) and Rosemi with Ange Katrina. The female fanbase for them exists they're just not as vocal it seems.
