I appreciate the amount of work that went into it and I'm sure the participants had fun but I found the sports festival mostly boring to watch.

I had fun watching Red C teams POV because they were mostly goofing off and didn't really take it seriously.
Next year they should a stream POV where there are people who would not be part of games but be there for commentary.
I would personally watch it because i really don't care about the games themselves.

It probably isn't a coincidence, some time ago the devs got Kakaogames (aka pretty fucking massive publisher) to be their sugar daddy for a partnership, and last week or so that got expanded to EU and NA as well. They definitely need some advertising; as much as I love both Immortal Soul (the original mobile BR it's based on) and Eternal Return (the MOBA), the playerbase is pretty small outside of Asia, and they're getting dangerously close to a point where people say not to play your game because nobody's playing it, as if that fixes the problem.

Oh...I know this game. Some of my friends are playing it, though they said ita hard to find matches sometimes. Its like Battle Royale but using a MOBA gameplay. Pretty weird game if you asked me. The aesthetics has the stupid Teachwear feel to it, so I think its either a chinks game or the koreans

Yeah, it's Korean. The devs are Nimble Neuron, which came from a merger of O'ol Blue (only made some shitty mobile games up to that point), and Archbears (made the original mobile game, Black Survival [currently Immortal Soul], honestly fairly unique gameplay), latter of which was more than happy to change face after a PR disaster 2-3 years prior nearly killed them.

That's one thing I forgot about, wait times on pvp queues is pretty painful for the resulting game probably ending for you after just 10 minutes. Combined with the fact that progress with just vs AI earning you the same kind of account rewards from dailies meaning you're also not forced to play pvp in most cases to earn character points to unlock more of the roster kind of hinders the need to actually play pvp unless you're really sweaty for competition.

I'd like to see how many people download the game and mass queue when they're trying to look for games just to have a chance to interact with them in game. I'm pretty sure there's global all chat in session but I've not seen anyone talking in it. The queue situation would make it fairly likely to be able to get in a match with them and see who is going to try to feed them items/kills/wins versus who is just going to maximize sweat and try to bully the streamer live.

I totally agree. I couldn't care less about the Sports Festival itself but I wouldn't mind watching a hub channel oversee everything. This is something Towa did for MK8 and is pretty common in NijiJP.

if you want to be that technical, the first round of korean and japanese was a chink language based on chinese. their revisions got further away from the chinese letters. but if you want to know the actual meaning of any jap and korean word you have to know the chinese that form the word
