Since it's based on viewcount it's going to go to somebody who already has a following like Skitchama or Smoothie or some random popular holoEN clipper that decides to participate. there's still the streamer's choice category though.

Edit: Somebody was asking about the legality of using emulators on stream and I can assure you that no higher ups at twitch or youtube care in the slightest. No western streamer would get in trouble unless they are literally directing their audience to ROM sites. Bat would be fine emulating as long as she doesn't draw attention to it.

IMO, it's not a cost issue - it's got something more to do with the Japanese government and their pandemic-related lockdown and re-entry policies. I haven't been keeping up with it but last time I checked, they got so autistic with their requisites that even permanent-resident and student visa holders were having trouble getting back in.

Simplest reason is because no British applicant made the cut. It's five spots up for grabs that thousands of people are applying for. Probability of a British weeb getting through is far lower unless the person has a really strong resume, streaming history and inherent talent - and IIRC, the biggest consumers of manga and anime content in Europe is a toss-up between France, Spain and Germany (and they already got their Holo).

Keeki's reputation has already seeped into people's perception of Kiara, so I don't see it changing much. There was enough gossip on sites like lolcow.farm that everyone who already knew and hated Keeki just redirected their hate boners to Kiara. Given that most of her history as an idol/cosplayer is an open secret and that's probably the juicest dirt people have on her, I doubt there's hidden milk out there for people to find that hasn't already been exposed.

Also, Keeki makes drama just from existing sometimes, so people don't need to look to her past to generate shitstorms around her anymore.

Only after they start finding out who she is and then notice her sub count. Every little stupid story about how she "sexually assaulted" someone but it was just her taking a photo and placing her hand on the person's back. Cosplay circles full of autistic attentionwhoring people who are willing to make shit up and fuck others up out of spite and for 2 seconds of fame.

I thought Sana would be a Brit (based on design) but it turns out she was Aussie. Even people that have english as a 2nd language have made it in. Other than Froot how many other brit vtubers with over 20k subs are there?

My physical purchase of Suisei's Still Still Stellar came with a DL code on the back of a card. Thing is, there are apparently 4 different designs on these cards with codes to a different download bonus for each and I ended up getting "Design A" which gave me Taku Inoue's remix of comet (wav+mp3). The other potential bonuses include 2 other remixes of comet (one by TEKINA and a Midnight Jazz Arrange) and a making-of video of the music video. I did not get the time to look up if these bonuses were collected and re-upped anywhere else. But if anyone cares, I'm sharing my what I got anyway:

Generally indies should be fine, but if you're corpo its very likely a nono. JP Companies like Nintendo are so autistically overprotective of their IPs that they straight up claim in their legal faq that Emulators themselves are unambiguously illegal (despite Emulators being protected by law after numerous court cases in the late 90s/early 00s). So if a corpo wants to stream an older game, they're limited by what the companies made an effort to port or put on the service.

Edit: I still feel like the 99.99999999% majority of Kiara drama is just people who have an extremely unhealthy distaste for mild insecure number fagging and making every minor whine or complaint a Mt Everest out of an ant hill. Literally everything regarding her has been a nothing burger no matter what any tries to say otherwise, and the autism is starting to get unbelievably irritating. Just stop conjuring bullshit for a reason to hate her. Hate someone for real reasons. Like Vtweeters and their retardism.

In other news Sana had an endurance stream where she played and beat Kirby's Return to Dreamland in one sitting, 11:30 hours in total. Kirby games aren't usually known for being hard, but she went the extra mile and found all the collectibles, now she just needs to do some extra challenges to get 100%. It was pretty fun, especially since Sana had energy to spare throughout the whole thing.

Not so much drudge stuff up, but more along the lines of drama busting out over jealousy/pettiness. No doubt in my mind that people who knew Keeki know now, but as that knowledge spreads, people will undoubtedly come out of the corners to both shit on her out of that jealousy, try to worm their way in for some leeching fame, or just plain gossip about someone who made it which could easily lead to more isolation if shit gets dramatic in her old friend circles.
