Just watched the archive of Millie's I Do What I Want stream last night and it was a nice watch.
Aside from trying to watch 20 videos at once (and almost crashing the stream), she called a bunch of fellow nijis and asked them what they were doing.
Nothing too lengthy but some pretty fun interactions - particularly from some IDs (Cia and Etna; just going about their day) and some JPs (Lain and Maimoto; both coincidentally doing office (non-vtuber) related stuff). Also didn't think Millie to be a really big Maimoto fan tbh so it was really cute seeing her fumble around and sound really nervous.

Kanae is an expert troll that makes every announcement appear to be a negative just to give his Antis false hope that he's graduating and end up watching him get new things.

That said, I don't think it's him, but the person is very interesting. Firstly, I never realised that ロメ and 叶 was the basis for the rrat, because 'Salome' has historically been a name associated with royalty and upper-class citizenry, which makes sense given this person is seemingly an Ojou-sama that uses 'desu wa'.

What's interesting about her is that she tweets like someone who is clearly more in-the-know on the company. She doesn't follow anyone but the Nijisanji main account, and currently has no credit for the artist or rigger, nor has she shown off that her model can even move which is a pretty customary pre-debut tease.

Her YouTube channel was only made a few days in advance, there is still no waiting room, and the description of her channel is empty.

All signs seem to point to this being some kind of gag but maybe the secrecy is intentional to get people talking about her. A solo debut in Nijisanji has, to my recollection, never happened before.

This is one of the biggest reasons I stopped following Vtuber 'lore' and the general community ages ago. Everyone is a fucking retard. It's all simps and counter simps screaming at eachother.

...for example, saw this posted like 15 pages back but no one seemed to really mention it:


The whole "Chinese Vtuber" kidnapped and sold as slave for 6 months thing... is there any evidence for this? Not sure if anyone followed this remotely closely but for no apparent reason this was retweeted by some weirdo on Twitter and somehow got into my feed. It's just full of people going "OMFG I HOPE SHE GETS AWAY" because people are retarded since she made the announcement on livestream as her avatar. Well, sorry, it's about 50% those messages and the other 50% are "OMFG THIS IS TERRIBLE, I WAS KIDNAPPED AND SOLD AS A SLAVE FOR YEARS!!!" or "my best friend" or "I know people currently being kept as slaves", etc. etc. I don't see a single bit of evidence though.

I know #believeallwomen and all that shit but, really? Are we just at the point in life where people can go "Oh, sorry, I know I didn't post on Twitter for a few months but it's because I was kidnapped and sold as a sex gimp, okay? Cool. I will take donations and you spreading my name far and wide now, thank you."

Like I said, I could be retarded and have missed a huge mountain of evidence, but the Twitter threads I saw when looking into this and the reddit post have no evidence and are just people either virtue signalling how nice they are or claiming this has effected them too.

Bit of column A & B really. Sometimes when people stumble upon a Liver (or set of Livers) debuting soon they don't fill in the info til actual debut just to avoid basically leaking everything early. For example people stumbled upon Alban's twitter early on but didn't think much of it.

Considering you'd have to be in China/Follow Chinese stuff to get any evidence, it's not too out there because trafficking is VERY common in Asia, especially China, SEA and Korea (it's not as bad in Japan compared to what it used to be.) The only thing that gives me a "huh.." moment is she was sold off to a woman which is a lot rarer (but lucky if true) situation. So I wouldn't completely dismiss it, but I do get the reluctance because of all the virtue signaling and falseflagging shit many do, ESPECIALLY in the EN Vtuber community to drum up pre-debut support, like this idiot:

Absolute no one is confessing love to someone who hasn't really streamed or done much of anything, but the twitter interactions basically gave them some follows/potential donations and a new hugbox. Best practice is just sit back and let things play out. So I would hope this was a copypasta that people do, but with the EN Vtubing sphere, you never know, so as said I definitely get the "how do you know if this is true" vibe. It also wouldn't benefit the western viewers who rarely watch/support CN/KR Vtubers to begin with, so as a publicity stunt, it wouldn't have much impact, especially with new chinese rules on limiting how much money you can shell out to content creators.

Aye, I know slavery is actually an issue in China but I'm never going to be one to just believe someone (who has something to gain) by lying without there being any evidence. I know folks will say they don't have anything to gain but, well, I know their name now and I'm someone who barely even follows Vtubers outside HL.

My main laughing point was the reaction of the EN community. It's just lots of virtue signalling or people making it about themselves. No one even cares to try and see if there is evidence, they just blindly accept it as real.

Thanks for linking me to that Pecha person, they're exactly the type of person I was thinking about for this kind of retard, drama bait, victimhood shit that is riff in the Vtubing community from the looks of it. Debuts on the 17th of May after constant tweeting and marketing, gets only 40 views. Before they've even debuted they have a Discord and all set up, been tweeting nonstop to get the hype up. Get like 10 likes per tweet at most. Post that shit and suddenly it's 900 likes in preparation for their next stream.
