Kiara was there on a special visa that has a once in a lifetime use, 1 year duration, and absolutely no path to renewal. She would have had to go back home anyways to apply for regular visa then anyways.

And as for Kiara moving, I haven't watched her in 7 or 8 months but back just before she was about to move home, she definitely vocalized her desire to return home in spite of the visa limit, rather than an obligation to.
