I rarely read Yahoo news but this piece is pretty interesting regarding monetization by view only on YouTube. Either way corpo Vchuuba like Holo makes bank even if they have to split 50:50 with Cover not to mention SCs, merch and Spotify (musician like Calli, Suisei etc.)

I’m gonna take a shot in the dark and say it was playful, because people really like to put the chicken in a bad light on here, either because they don’t like her or because they like to piss off people that do like her.

Can't speak for everyone but she's like the community dairy cow, always something fun to milk. I personally don't hate her or anything, I wish her all the best. Her insecurity makes it too easy to poke fun here and there and good thing she doesn't visit here because she might snap reading all the shenanigans that get posted. If she lightened up a little, learned to balance all aspects of her life and found harmony, I'm sure all the negativity will disappear too.

Nope. As long as she sticks to her vtuber things, she's good to go. It wouldn't be much of a hinderance since the main thing against Crunchyroll is the company itself, going after the vtuber though because she is hired by Crunchyroll seems pointless and petty.

At the end of the day she exists to be a representative or extension of the company itself, and she is physically unable to criticise the company or speak negatively of its products (she probably can't say a seasonal anime is mediocre, for example), meaning that if the company really rocks the boat then it could affect the people who watch her.

I'd be interested to see just what her role in PR/Damage Control would be if the company find themselves in hot water.

She should know better than this. I will be very surprised if this doesn't turn into controversy leading to an apology and suspension. I don't care that people know Coco is Kson, but in an industry where the subject of real identities / alternate accounts / roommates / etc is not to be spoken of, working officially as a Talent under one such company where this is the case for their talents, and no doubt the Talents are told this in no uncertain terms...

To be fair I haven't watched Nina myself so I don't have an opinion of her. I just hope she apologizes for the Coco thing and owns up to her mistake. I'm sure she's got fans that like her content like the rest of em do, I'm not knocking it. If she was even talking about it on a Roommate account I'd feel less strongly about it. It's just the fact that she did that on a livestream from her official Nijisanji account.

In the imaginary scenario I made up in my head where Sana talks about Lulu's new channel in Korean on stream while streaming as Sana on the official Sana account managed by Hololive, I would feel the same way about it.
