His chat was more angry than he was, suggesting that the Diamond 4 player in question was being boosted or cheating in some way. No one seemed to recognise the name which made it even funnier.

It's true that it isn't embezzlement, but it's still a possible punishable offence if they are reallocating internal budgets. We saw this when the guy making Gen:LOCK at RoosterTeeth was fired for pouring animator wages and budgets of other projects into his shitty mecha show without anyone's knowledge.

The veracity of Crunchyroll saying all the money goes to paying Japanese animators and 'fixing' their unfair economy is found wanting when we see them funding their own pozzed animation studios and now throwing a few thousand at a V-Tuber model. CR aren't a not-for-profit organisation so they clearly have the capacity to set aside money for Marketing purposes, but it's strange how you never hear of their deeds paying the animators whilst all this money gets sunk into their own expansion.

those things happens all the time. A C-suite guy takes funding from a project he doesn't care for and puts it into his pet project. When leadership changes, the new guy takes money from the old guy's project and dumps it into his. (e: this is SOP for media companies btw)
It's only punishable if they suck at office politics or if the project ended up producing fuck all in revenue.

I don't know the specifics of crunchyroll's operation but leaving contractors high and dry isn't new. happens in games, construction (trump was guilty of this), pretty much anything. "all the money goes to nip animators" is a marketing ploy, buyer beware.

Actually come to think of it, has Tenma done that so far? She's been pretty solid on sticking to it and using DETERMINATION on any games I recall offhand. She kept at Sans until she got through that in one stream iirc, with only the water bottle casualty and possibly being late to a meeting.

I've not watched the stream, but she does only have one stream of Grime, that hallow knight-like game that gura played a while back, no clue if it was a lack of interest or a RQ that stopped a second stream.

One of his teammates was in RPR's chat when he and Selen were grinding ranked together yesterday and they were all bantering about a tired V-Tuber anime girl crushing ALGS winners.

Dropped didn't recognise her and I think it was mostly just the straw that broke the camel's back after a run of bad games than anything she did in particular. It was entirely chat accusing her.

If its a long text post, that one I guess comes down to the poster and how they've formatted their post.

It was wild to see so much discussion about Fubuki in 2020 and the first half of 2021 when I was reading the thread highlights. Ambitions for Hololive, holding herself hostage over the T-word incident, grief over Coco's graduation. Now things like her comments being off don't spawn any rrats spicier than "gachikoi" and "West Taiwan bugs", at least not here. Not to say people like her less now, it just feels strange.

I mean.. who else would be causing a ruckus if not deranged gachis or deluded bugmen? Off the top of my head, the current top 3 holos being targets for <insert hate/bias/something> are Friend, Baqua, and Sana (I blame jewtube for Sana). So Calli gave us a timeframe for the overdue EN gen 1 outfits in her chatting stream (1:24:17): "Not much longer." Also told us it comes with new facial expressions.

More importantly, nothing she said disproves the rrat that I believe which explains the wait: All the new outfits were nearly fully rigged, but then management looked at Gura's rigging, realized it was once again garbage, threw out all the work her rigger had done on the new outfit, and finally just told him to fuck off forever, never to taint another hololive idol's visage with his sub-par rigging skills ever again. Of course, that means they had to hire someone else to rig Gura's new outfit, and that's why they've been delayed. okay I don't actually believe that but it would be really cool if the outfit didn't have holes in it this time

Crunchyroll in general is absolute trash. Their video player made Twitch's look amazing by comparison, their translations are lazy and occasionally suffer from SJW overreach, and they're responsible for killing the thriving fansub scene. Not only that, they're now producing cheap as fuck cartoons where the main selling point is "The diversity of the staff involved." Fuck Crunchyroll.
