Don't shit on me for saying this but sometimes I wonder if Pippa is the bad neighbor.

I've basically considered it a 50/50 possibility ever since the issues with her roomates first came up. Easy to assume what she says is true when you're only getting her side of the story but there's every possibility that she's the "problem roomate" and the people she lives with just end up cold toward her because she's a pain in the ass recreating the RE:7 mold outbreak in her room.

I lived with my dad and he had an annoying ass bird that would get grumpy about being asked to sleep, unfortunately I would need to sleep to go to school. The same appeal K-ON has. Cute girls doing cute things. Or in Pippa's case, cute girls saying fucked up shit.

I very rarely see the girls as "pretending to be anime women" (maybe this is why I don't enjoy Luna). Sure, some of them do lean into it heavily and start lore-fagging but for the most part, it seems like the lines between the character and the actual person (personality/attitude) get blurry. Maybe im just a fucking weeaboo but I feel like watching a 2d anime girl say dumb shit is way more entertaining than seeing some thot on twitch say dumb shit. I barely watched Streams unless it was a game I was interested in or I didn't feel like playing League (which had been my main go-to game for the last 8 years) and just sit in a chat room shitposting with other people while someone else who was better at the game than me played.

Vtubers just fill in that gap I had where I would go to a friend's house to play games and talk shit. Just something to do to keep me from sliding more into depression.

I was in that situation shorty after college. You get used to it during the day, but on the nights when the little bastard just won't shut up… it's hard not to think about frying up some oil and preparing a batter.

That said, the owner was a great person and has remained a friend to this day, so it all balanced out I suppose.
