Almost all new people in my office were recommended by already working there and most of them fit nicely into the team. People without existing connections didn't work so well and were gone usually after 6 months or quicker. This system just works, as long as recommended person goes through a proper validation system and is competent enough.Telling your boss you know someone with similar talents who would be interested is fine. Especially when one of the most desirable traits for the job is getting along with the others and not causing drama
I would not call it two-faced: she experienced it first-hand, had awful time, quit and told all about it afterwards (there was a link to that interview in one of the earlier posts). That's quite two faced, but then again wasn't she 19 years at the time she did all of this?
