- Not even banks will do more than PSA regarding phishing scams. At most they will make it an email campaign.... of more PSA. Banks will not go on a manhunt like GunRun claims he did. Thats stupid as fuck.
- Vshojo should've been the ones doing the PSA and be an actual real org instead of a group of online friends.

Maybe I misread you. VShoujo should have done the PSA, we can agree on that. Banks and most corporations WILL do more than that typically. Internal personnel audits, documentation, etc. . . are handed over (while not necessary) to LE/internal committees to reduce internal liability while avoiding PR scandal. A full manhunt is a little much, and a legitimate law enforcement agency would not officially condone that, but 'full cooperation' does usually involve some leg-work. And another major issue I have is that. while a PSA is the typical response, most have a much more robust precautionary response (if not explicit system to ensure promulgated official contact information). I have no doubt the LE agency was face-palming at the entire situation while they read the required note-cards.

Im not entirely sure if this is the case, but this detail here might also be why VShojo is mad at Nux. Afaik it's illegal to get information this way and could hurt the investigation (if it exists) because of such a fragrant breach of privacy that is likely contractually protected.

I don't think that would be an issue for VShojo's supposed investigation - their most recent statement seemed to imply that Nux was targeted by gay ops, and all the info he bragged about was useless to them (which makes the whole situation even funnier/more exceptional)

This is off topic a bit, but I'm curious what people currently think of Coco/Kson.

I could be wrong, but it seems she's largely drifted out of most conversations a month or two after she left hololive. Are people here still watching her as frequently as before? Has her content changed too much for some fans?

I won't say anything new: it was very fun to watch Coco interact with other Holomem, shittalk about Watame's internet, make Towa cringe and so on. This isn't the case anymore; my Japanese is too crap to understand more complicated discussions and jokes and also I don't have much time to watch anything besides some clips from this thread (I'm catching up with activities previously unavailable due to pandemic restrictions, but this may change very soon lol). I'm happy to know that her numbers are alright (to say at least) and I sincerely wish her all the best, but I don't think I'm her target audience anymore.

Going by the reactions of the VShojo girls tells me that they may have known more about what was going on than they're letting on. That they and VShojo stayed quiet until Nux posted his video should be more than a little concerning, what with all their, "muh safety," rhetoric.

Just assume that VShojo and the girls knew there was a phishing campaign that involved swatting. They knew this for about a month. Ordinarily, an organization would've put out a PSA with the girls encouraging potential victims of phishing to come forward and forwarding any info concerning swatting to the appropriate authorities.

With what we've learned, with a few of y'all even guessing correctly, VShojo isn't operating at all like a company, but are acting like a clique that just had their dirty laundry aired out.

This Thanksgiving I want to say I am actually very grateful to live in a timeline that, may have a lot of shitty aspects, but also allows me to watch a psychotic anime girl boil spiders to eat and an exceptional shork to squeal in delight at 8 year old vidya.
