Each component of the kart (racer, chasis, wheels, parachute) has stats associated with it. So with the autistic nature of any game community, there is a 'solved' best stat spread that can be accomplished. Hence why you see so many Waluigi's riding small wheeled Wiggler karts.

I literally just found out about that decision the exact same time you all did during the stream. I'm assuming there was a conversation about it with her that took place in one of the higher-mod channels above my (zero)paygrade. It seems that this decision came down to not wanting a rift to form between viewers and the company's mods, as well as not wanting to get cancelled/potentially make the company as a whole look bad for openly accepting lingo from sites that Twittertards would take offense to, which I think makes decent enough sense as a corpo chuuba.
