But I'm not sure how different it is compared to their previous stance, since it still does not allow visits for touristic purposes. But I guess it's a step in the right direction. So far for me Zeta has been great. I like her voice and she has her own brand of bratty/teasing (though not quite full kusogaki like kobo) that has worked well building a comradery with chat. A bit of pon too. Probably the biggest thing though is that she speaks english the best out of ID3. Not only better but much clearer and more frequent too. I often have streams going while doing other stuff and not totally focusing on it, so I need the EN so I can keep up with what is going on without having to always be watching the video and checking for translations, and she has offered the best experience in that regard.

They are all great. I like Penguin's game choices (yes I like shit games) but it seems that audiences like cutesy/child-like characters more than Milfs. Nina being the exception to the rule.

Judging on how excited she seemed on her announcement and reveal stream I think she's wanted a change for awhile. All of the VOMs models are very stylized and stick out. This isekai model is something very cute for her to show off and I think that's what she really wants. She made a point to show off her hair and how it was sooooo fluffy. I personally prefer the original Pikame design myself but it is simplistic and not nearly as emotive as these cutesy models.

Pika's original model is unique but this one is more detailed and can be a bit more expressive. I guess that after 2 years she just got tired of the old design. Eventually, she will move back to it. I also feel like when it comes to the general public, had she streamed with this avatar from the start she would probably have more subs now. The cutesy characters tend to be more popular.

Apparently it is only one series, thought it was two. Knew about the ONA, but apparently the 2023 anime is based off the same novel. Either way.

To add a little more info: besides the art for this fantasy light novel "Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire ♀" (which gets an anime adaptation next January) she did the illustration for the light novel "Angels Only Drink Soda" from Marufukushi Maroyaka and also "I want to marry a man stronger than me" (both are not on MAL as far as I can see).

The other day Kronii got a little depressed (shocking I know) and said that if she didnt get into hololive someone else would have and we'd like that Kronii just as much or more than we like her. If I was the kind of cunt who acted like their success was purely from having the hololive label stamped on them I'd feel pretty fucking guilty about it.

Can’t blame her for imposter syndrome though. Her small time as Seru Kisen did not gain much traction though she should considered lucky that her circle of friend is not trying to burn bridge like what happen to Fauna. Maybe Mumei as well consider Mumei was part of Bao gang before joining Hololive and Bao was kind of a “I’m better than my crew” type of streamer. I can see how the moments Mumei find out she got the Hololive ticket while Bao couldn’t, she’s more confident that she’s better than Bao’s gang in the eye of Cover.

Animation does take a lot time and we saw what happened last two times when she got overworked with animation job. Only reason she even did those was because she thinks too highly of tophat.

Good question. AFAIK, no one truly knows exactly what they use, but we can guess close to maybe something along the lines what they might be using.

So here is a behind the scenes of Hololive quite a few years ago, this gives you some indication of some of the earlier tech they were using. It looks basic now, but back then this is was some advanced stuff.

Now days, I'm sure they put the girls in their own mo cap suits and are using a technology of something close to this level but probably way more advanced/expensive and fine tuned knowing COVER.

I personally think we will never truly exactly know what they use. I'm sure it's their own in-house software and setup and the actual details about how it all works is behind many locks and keys. Trust me I would LOVE to know how it all works, but we can only wish now.

TLDR: We don't know exactly, but we can guess fairly close. @Avokado Example is PRETTY close to how it most likely is
