Man, i remember when kiara was consistently getting 100k views on her vods and comparing it with the rest of myth and thinking "hmm that's kinda low aint it?". Or when peko and moona had that collab and peko had 100k for at least half(maybe less?) the duration of that stream. Granted I had no frame of reference for that shit. Still fucks with me how absurd myth numbers once were.
Everyone in Myth pretty much still reaches up to 100k+ viewership now, except for Kiara. She's always been the least popular in the group.
The Peko - Moona - Kiara NTR collab only had around 30k viewers though. And most of it was just Peko fans migrating to Kiara's stream since Pekora wasn't streaming off her POV
If Keeki wants to hang out on Dokomi without anyone bothering her, why doe she announces on her socials that she's attending there but doesn't want to get bothered by other. Just fucking go.
This fucking chicken needs someone to tardwrangle her IRL persona.
I feel like she wants to interact with her fans but wants to tard wrangle them herself or put out a boundary. And with what we're seeing, she's doing it wrong.

I dont think Keeki is being a cunt, she just comes off like one.
It would have been a lot easier to just say no photos, she choose not to.
She genuinely wants to meet her fans and do what she can for them but is terrified of something bad happening because of past events.
It's like asking a friend to phone you after 15-30 mins into a date so you have a way to escape if they're a schizo

Keeki's being a paranoid control freak, and is afraid of past negative experiences repeating themselves. She means well, but her rules are presented in such a tone-deaf and unfriendly manner.
She's completely unaware of the poor and distasteful optics her behavior is creating, and any feedback regarding said behavior isn't being perceived as thoughtful or helpful, but rather as intrusive and malevolent.
She's burning goodwill as fast as she creates it.
By seeing antis everywhere and treating everyone as a suspected bad actor, she's inadvertently creating more of them, or at the very least turning off new fans. Ironically enough, this is a win for her antis.
I feel bad for her and wish she didn't have such a shitty plethora of fucked up experiences to draw from, but it's her reputation to damage and no one else's.
I doubt Cover can do shit about it, Keekihimedesu is outside their contract.
(and a beauty filter can only do do much if you have 30 layers of makeup on)
Over saturation would be if the market can't continue to support new talents, the fact that there are new talents still finding success means that there is still room in the market for more, meaning it's not over saturated. The Vtuber audience, while not growing as rapidly as it was in 2020, is till growing today.
I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up yet but a streaming platform called Showroom has popped up intended for both 2d and 3d streamers. It has its own section for vtubers and autobans ips from certain countries.
I haven't had a chance to delve into it but it seems pretty decent.
Showroom has been around for years. (Maybe the English release is new?) The app was always buggy, and they take a bigger cut than most platforms. The "virtual stage" thing they do is pretty cool I guess, but I can't see it being worth anyone moving there unless they're extremely idol-style, and even then they'd be giving up a lot of their income.
Funnily enough the original GGN felt really cheaply made. They reused a lot of assets from other games (e.g. Kira Kira), maybe relying on the English audience not having played the studio's Japanese games. And I think maybe they got some tourism-promotion funding as well? In fairness it was cheap, but it's absolutely the last thing I'd've expected to be revived ten years on.
Japan JUST reopened for tourism like last week, but business in March. Not sure about specifics, but I am guessing they still have to wait on passports. Those are usually the longest part of the process.
They should already have passports, those are issued by their own country not Japan. Visa applications can take time, but as you say, visits for business purposes have been open for months. (And frankly there were options even before that - worst case Cover could afford to set up a shell company with 2 employees and 50MJPY in capital for each of the talents (making them eligible for a business manager visa), they wouldn't be the first company to go that route for getting a VIP into the country). A small part of me believes in the Keeki rrats just because that's one of the few things that could hard-block them from getting her a visa.
Remember what Cover said way before firing Rushia? "Talent's personal life is not the responsibility of the company". What Keeki did as Keeki, stays as Keeki
I'm not sure if it's people naturally falling off, youtube algorithm stuff, or a combination of both. Gura, for example, in terms of subs, only dropped under getting at least 100k+ subs a month in November 2021, and only dropped under 50k+ for the first time in April two months ago. In the views department she's always wildly fluctuated. For example, her viewership for the past 2 months are comparable to her viewership from March last year, but her viewership during the most recent winter months was about 60% higher than it is right now. I don't think there's any real cut and dry kind of drop off happening. At least not one to be concerned about yet.
You can never know the answer to this question. Unless you survey a massive number of subs/viewers from a lot of vtubers and ask them directly about their viewing habits. I'm certain there is always at least a small amount of cannibalizing that happens, but you can't ever prove how much of it affects views/supachas and the like.

The issue is that she still wants to do the whole eceleb thing, but what she can't seem to grasp is that there is a massive trade-off you have to make when you accept the famous life. Once you become a public figure, your ability to control your privacy vanishes. I won't comment on whether that's right or wrong, but it that IS the way it works. She should know this by now, but she's still living in some delusional world where, if she just puts a few restrictions in place, she can still control almost every aspect of her interactions with people like she could when no one knew who she was. Do I think the sunglasses thing is unreasonable? No, I actually think it's a good idea so that her fans will know when she's up for some interaction, but what about the people that didn't see her tweet? Is she going to flip out if some fan of hers 'ignores' her rules and talks to her anyway? It's unreasonable of her to think that some of these demands will do anything except cause her trouble.

I don't know how many times this has been clarified in the past 24 hours. Her appearance at dokomi was public knowledge for a long time, she made it clear that she was fine with people showing up to see her if she's not sporting sunglasses and if she is then leave her alone . It's not that unreasonable. She wants boundaries which shouldn't be such an alien concept to people. Now granted she went about asking in a bitchy way, but given her experiences in the past she thinks she has to be firm now.
None of this is unique to her, but the circumstances are different. Most famous people who turn up at these conventions have their own requests, but they have the luxury of having the staff be the bad guys by issuing the rules about interaction, not them. Keeki is in a weird place in which her digital avatar and personality was a featured guest but not her, so she had to be the one to lay down the law. Otherwise she'd be swamped by the autism branch of KFP.
There was a livestream detailing NijiFes 2022 which takes place in October of this year. I'm going to lay it all out fully for posterity and also because I'm bored as shit. So here I go.

A kind of old-school V-Tubing series that gets posted on the main channel. Usually involves the three on the left and at least one guest hanging out on the sofa and playing something. Bitesize episode lengths.

A live version of the random bullshit ROF-MAO get up to on their own channel. Another variety show that sometimes involves them getting injured.
1-on-1 Meet & Greet Booths
Three guesses as to who is going to have the biggest line.
Assorted Panel Shows
Live Events!
Seems to be some kind of roleplay event where the Liver takes the role of a teacher and the viewer becomes the student. A sort of 'what if' event of having them teach you in school.
Moira, Ienaga Mugi, Gilzaren III, Ryushen, Todoroki Kyoko, Sister Claire, Shouichi Kanda, Joe Rikiichi, Onomachi Haruka, Levi Elipha, Hayase Sou, Kaida Haru.
An interactive Haunted House scenario.

Riddle-solving game show with Prof. Oliver Evans and Selejo (Asahina Akane, Suo Sango, Kohaku Todo, Kitakoji Hisui, Nishizono Chigusa)
PLANETARIUM DATE SCENARIO
I'm not sure how the fuck the logistics of this are meant to work, but the idea is that you'll go on a date to a Planetarium with the members on the right (Machita Chima, Sukoya Kana, Ratna Petit, and Belmond Banderas) whilst the Planetarium is narrated by the members on the left (Asuka Hina, Sister Claire, Rindou Mikoto, Sakura Ritsuki).
Also, Gwelu Os Gar is hosting a 3D version of his game show 'Panicqube', which also implies he will receive his 3D prior to the event, but may not.
Finally, Tsukino Mito, Hoshikawa Sara, and ChroNoir will all be doing live music performances.
There is another stream in August with more robust details on the event. What stood out to me the most was the fact that their original PR statement promised representation of the international Livers, but there are 0 here. It makes me think there's still some stuff left to announce or sort out.
Either way, though, it's clear they have put a lot of work into this. It's very nice that a lot of the smaller Livers are getting their own time in the sun and put on some front-and-centre panel shows. Lots of creative variety on offer.
I'm so happy she figured out how to put in custom music. Now each wrestler has their own theme and there's actual music during the match. OP's gotten real quiet...better make a wellness check
