genshin runs on unity, just saying (as do a fuckload of games most people don't know since the pro version doesn't have a mandatory splash screen).
"MMO" can mean anything, even if several hundred people only interact with a shared market npc it's technically still "massive multiplayer". it's more a marketing buzzword than strict definition these days.

I assume it will be like dragon quest builders and/or some more survival/build stuff with some holo events and VN sections sprinkled in, like cooking with haachama etc., probably some live service stuff where they release more so people come back. doubt they gonna go the full gatcha route where your whale for your oshi, because that only works if they can constantly put out new whalebait in characters that affect gameplay via powercreep. they could do variants/costumes of those but it wouldn't necessarily have the same "pull", not to mention would be a pain in the ass in the long run - imagine you'd have a SSR rushia and they want to memory hole her.
TLDR: they probably keep the player/holo interaction limited in a more controllable way.
I see you didn't like my comment about Unity. There's been great games made from it and a accessible engine that's malleable, but i'll always think of jank and asset flips with how many swarm it.

On topic with HoloEarth,

It's smart that they're kinda doing a game cause it'll be a interactive experience that will keep people around longer and in turn possibly spend more money longevity wise. Pricey upfront but probs payoff once it's complete and people have a another avenue to support their oshi and view them in.

That's why I think they're doing the crafting/building stuff cause that'll allow the girls and fans to be creative and stay around making content with the game similar to Minecraft. Can probs share their creations to the fans, like Holo jp town, and vice versa with fans being able to share a KFP store to Kiara on Cover own platform.

The social/event kinda like 2nd life with concerts and venues thing too will be good for interactivity with holding concerts on their own platform so they probs allow more things that they can't do on Youtube like Beach event or have people pay to enter the concert halls.

the feature of recording and taking pictures with a in game phone be nice to with users sharing content of the holo characters doing things out in the game world will be funny to see, with people creating funny background probs to whatever the girls will be doing. (Like someone recording Towa bullying Pekora and Pekora falls off a cliff cause someone got them near a cliff to do the animation). I can tell people will find funny ways to make the characters interaction interesting to view.

I'm excited to see what it becomes and if it becomes a successful for Cover without having to depend on Youtube and Twitch to support their ventures.

How dare the native Austrian want a traditional looking outfit reflective of her culture!
The idea is good, the execution is fairly poor. I think Kiara's design as a whole is too outlandish in a way that clashes with the outfit. The vibe is less "Austrian girl" and more "American teen at the ren faire." When she removes the eggs from her hair and just goes with the flowers she instantly looks way better for this reason - it makes her look a bit more down to earth.

Enna’s full blood Chyna? Her attitude and the way she talks reminds me of second gen Taiwanese interactions.
Time is truly a flat circle here in the V-Tuber Thread but Enna is a Japanese-born Canadian with at least one mainland parent (which I think is her dad) and grandparents. My guess is that her dad is an immigrant that met her mother in Japan, but I doubt she'll ever divulge the full movement of her lineage on stream.

I don't think anyone takes issue with the intent behind the outfit, or even the 'non-Japanese-ness' of the outfit (which is especially odd given that very few outfits, base or otherwise, are 'Japanese'). Some just think it doesn't look great and there's nothing else to it. I personally think matching Surf Green with Coronation Pink should have remained in the 50's with their diner/restaurant decor, never mind on someone with bright orange hair. I just don't find it very pleasing on the eye. It ain't that deep.

Honestly I just never liked Kiara's outfits, the formal one is nice due to hairstyle but this one I have no strong opinion on since I'm biased towards the version FFXIV implemented.

So I guess that LGBT+ Vtuber group recently came out (Pun intended) and its roster is as you expected...
As I addressed in my prior attempted research on them, one of them already does porn that makes Melody's upload rate tame.
Nijis new money maker made a cameo in this vid at the timestamp 19:31 as meme response to micro transactions
Clemps is often in the Niji Male's chats. Ike has even commented and praised him on the NIER videos.

A few of the takes seemed to be against her doing a costume regarding her cultural heritage rather than any choice of color scheme or the specifics of the design. Hence my comment. Wouldn't be the first time weebs were averse to anything not Japanese. As for color choice, it's not that bad, the softer hues make it inoffensive on my eyes. My only criticism is the color choice reminds me of wall paper.

I had not heard Sana's song. They edited her voice so much that its kinda sad because the tune is so good. Wish she had some more direction or something instead of them going for the hard vocal edits.

So I was going to talk about how close I got to correctly guessing what that off-screen text said in the frame released on twitter of the holoalt teaser, but when comparing the frame to when it actually happens in the teaser I noticed something. Here's the bit from the frame that I was analyzing:
screenshot.jpeg

Pretty clearly only a period after the last word in the second sentence. In the actually teaser we see the full message:

Horrific youtube compression aside, from the moment it appears, the message now has two explanation marks instead of a period. Why something like this was changed at some point when the message appears for only 10 frames in a video that runs at 24 frames a second is anyone's guess.

Although ten seconds shorter than the first teaser, it feels ten times as detailed - you can tell how much thought and care went into every single shot. Really hoping we don't have to wait seven months to hear the full version of the song made for the teaser this time.
