Ah okay I didn't know she was kinda getting a reboot. I thought it was just a new costume, not a whole lore name and fan name redebut.
 
Decided to give the Holo VS rip a try and holy shit. The production value is off the charts. The music, animation, pixel art. All of it. If I was Yagoo, I'd be funding this shit. Its too good to be a free fan game.
My only complaint so far is that they added what is clearly the final boss at 20min instead of 30.

What I recall from one of her Twitter Spaces (the one from May 3rd) is that she expressed a bit of discomfort with her character, since she was kind of just given a spare model without any say in the matter, and all the booba jokes directed at her, so a change in design has been long overdue.

Damn this guy is like the reverse Holo Bass. I can only hope he doesn't fall off the wagon like other fan creators do. The smol ame developer actually managed to stop himself from going all the way down the menhera route after he began falling down into it.

I used that Holo ranking site that was linked earlier, and it kind of shocked me that some of the girls like IRyS and Mumei only just made it into the top 20 for me. I guess I never realized just how many of the Holo girls that I really enjoy. It feels wrong that they are that low, but I guess it's a good thing that so many of them are not only watchable, but I genuinely look forward to seeing their streams or clips. It's nice to have an endless source of entertainment that I can go to without hearing about all the shit that's on TV 24/7.

I haven't done any analysis but I think that Nick is probably right. The very public nature of the superchat system is really one of the smarter things Youtube has done, it definitely encourages spending.

That being said, a fair amount of NijiENs have really dedicated fans who dump tons of money on Streamlabs and seem to be fine with receiving less attention for their spending. I forget the numbers but Shu has some Streamlab gachi who was giving him thousands of dollars a while back quite regularly (idk of they still are, I haven't watched Shu recently). I imagine the same would be the case for HoloEN.

They seriously need to hire the dude and make him make a more complete version for Steam and mobile where he can fully use Hololive assets(Voices, music, etc).
