thats pretty much it, when she streamed as DDK it was very clear that her Calli persona was just her tryhard DDK shtick with an actual fanbase to interact with, iroincally enough to most vtuber normies its actually quite endearing

I don't mind Calli's approach but theirs a difference between carrying on after a mistake and just flat out not giving a shit. One is playing it off and showing professionalism to maintain character while the other is getting discovered on your first stream and repeatedly failing to maintain the illusion of kayfabe(I'm looking at you Hime/Sydsnap).

As shown in someone elses pictures, 'Bloom & Gloom' are the tentative names for now. Cope is funny, but I think Hope doesn't make sense, because IRyS is already Hope.

I'm just worried that someone at some point will start to spaz out and once again try to cancel IRyS because 'the white cat looks like it has blackface on'. Either Cover looks at it and says that and at least the coloring has to go back to the drawing board, or some twitter troons will eventually try to make it a big deal. I hope no one is that stupid, and they can just go through as-is with whatever minor changes IRyS/Sana may come up with, but I do not have much faith in humanity.

And I imagined the ~6 month delay on this mascot stream idea to be more about the logistics and any ramifications of designing a mascot on a livestream rather than behind closed doors (Who knows, potential for accidental copyright infringement of other characters? Giving fans an expectation for a design, and then deciding for some reason that the design can't be used, leading to backlash?). It's is still pretty stupid and is basically red tape/bureaucracy, but not as stupid as 'you can't have a mascot for 6 months because we don't want you to'.
