IRyS is... strange. It's not bad, or what I expected, but if the old one reminded me of claymation the new one reminds me of an actual doll. It's also very very bright (white) and has very bouncy breasts. Millie is doing hers as well (and was late because she was watching IRyS)

Sounds like something out of the Higurashi anime and pretty great, that artist she wanted to work with did a banger job. Too bad Millie seems to be like Mumei and doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in her singing to do it often without joking, she's very good.

Outfit is very cute, but again with the hair. It's weird, the way they're doing it it feels like an attachment at the back of the head and I can't unsee it.

Glad Iris finally has a much better model - I never quite understood why they went for a style so different to the rest of EN - I know she was originally her own thing but odd that nobody considered how weird it makes her look when she collabs with anyone.

The face overall is a lot better but the mouth still a bit uncanny when open.

Iry's new face is definitely paler than prior, her mouth is definitely a bit odd when open / she talks, but I really like the new outfit. Definitely seems like an overall win.

Irys couldn't blink before? Damn, I guess I should pay more attention.


new Original song by Millie, plus a booba-less outfit reveal, quite a fun night! Millie speed-running the outfit 'till she couldn't get her booba to bounce was fun too.

Both outfits were super cute, and grand back-to-back reveals :)

Her mouth still doesn't really track with the shapes someone's mouth makes when talking, but I think the biggest issue currently is it's way too slow for how fast she talks. If I mute her and watch it's not quite as unusual.

For comparisons the lists of improvements is as follow

  1. Redesign is mostly her face and hair, it looks more like actual Hololive design, this is the reason people like Huke have to nerf themselves
  2. Face got overhauled HARD, with shitload of facial gestures including HD tears thing that V1 lacked (or maybe 1.5? her debut rig had to be overhauled because the face rigging was garbage)
  3. Eyes are now more clear and you can see her iris in more detail
  4. Hair did not get nerfed as much, is less shit to draw it but not by much
  5. Her overall design did not change that much, feels like it was a actual dress Cover had for her but they started to retool her and added the mascots Sana made for her to ship it with her V2
  6. Her wings did not exactly got nerfed, her 6 wings got compacted in 2 wings divided on 3 crystals, probably to animate them like Kanata wings when she get her 3D
  7. She now has 2 sets of Halos for some reason, Horns got nerfed
  8. Her model got the complete batch of updates including better tracking
Overall very solid rework, Redjuice really went the other mile to nerf himself for his daughter

Going to be likely the minority here and say that Millie's new outfit does not suit her or the energy she puts forward in streams. It's just a collective mess of ideas, that doesn't really have many callbacks (beyond the fork) compared to the very apparent love showcased in Reimu's. I guess having a "mom" willing to engage with your ideas verses one with a strict vision of what you are will do that. Enna should be terrified if she is smothered in spades, considering the current overlay changes for the other girls thus far.

Meanwhile Reimu's new outfit can toggle in and out her staff, her mascot, her notable eye-bags, new make-up, hair styles (revert to her prior) and her new bow. It's fairly confusing as Millie has certainly been on an incline with Enna prior to this, yet from what we've seen thus far has the weaker of the two themed outfits. I guess I was expecting something a bit more regal for a deck themed unity outfit set? Nina's is the one I am most curious about

I like it but I can definitely agree it doesn't really suit what I think of when I think of Millie, her little drop down notification for superchats pretty much encapsulated that perfectly. The decision to make the fork removable and then just have her hand sit there like an action figure from the 90s was definitely a poor decision and outright lazy. She always jokes about getting rid of the hat and getting tig ol bitties but I'm too autistic to know how much of that is a joke and how much is seriously, so hopefully she's at least happy with the outcome.

Enna is probably my most watched, or tied with Pomu, so it'll be interesting to see what they do for her since her current one I couldn't see anyone else using but her. Agreed on the theme as well. It was clear with Obsydia what they were going for but I'm not quite seeing it with Ethyria so far.
