Pomu's member streams are now public for everyone. This stream is from 8 months ago. She talks about a big opportunity that was offered to her, a maybe a once in a lifetime chance, and was really excited about it. But management denied it without any negotiation, it was a flat out no from them. When chat said that there will be more chances like that in the future she says "I don't think so, not - maybe not here unfortunately but it is what it is I suppose".
It's not all sunshine and rainbows at Cover either but I always had the impression that they at least discuss the stuff before making a decision. This straight out sucks.

I can't even remember, did she not do the DLC during her first Dark Souls playthrough? Is she doing some kind of challenge run? I don't remember her having this much trouble with the game.

I wonder what it was? The most obvious would be something related to MGS, either the song Calli ended up with or something else, and if so lmao Niji. Glad she was willing and able to channel getting fucked by them into fucking off. Seems a lot of people just go "it's just the way it is" and keep going on. Hopefully Selen was taking notes, assuming they don't fire her themselves. If they're gonna screw you over either leave or only put in the absolute minimum needed to maintain a paycheck.

My best bet it was the MSG thing. Believe she was even in Japan at the time for some event that got called off.

I doubt the MGS thing just because I think the only reason Calli ever even got that offer was because of Universal. I don't believe anyone at Konami actually cares at a level where they'd be like "oh this girl's a big fan of the series already let's get her" which isn't to say anything about pomu whatsoever, it's more just I don't think Konami actually thinks that way because they're kind of dumb. Like if it weren't the record label securing the partnership than even Pekora would have made more sense than Pomu in that situation.

It could be a myriad of things that Pomu was talking about. She's got obsessions and things she'd loved to have latched onto all over the place from idolshit to any sort of Japan Otaku interests like maid cafes and all sorts of things like that that might do partnerships with vtubers.

She was in Japan in early April, the stream above about the proposal being shut down was in the middle of May

She was back in Japan again in September and returned to the states at the very beginning of October. None of the MGS events or promotional happenings overlapped with these trips, the song itself released at the end of October on the 20th

Most vtuber fans need a little Jesus once in a while.

I've had this song stuck in my head for days. Shiratama Utano has been doing surprisingly well after reincarnating into a little studio called Univirtual. I figured her talents were going to go to waste at another poverty row studio, but her subs have been growing steadily, and she's routinely getting 1000+ CCV in her karaoke streams. The other members are all pretty good, too, especially Ohga Ruki. They just added two new vsingers I have to check out in the near future.
