China's gaming industry is currently having a Gamergate-esque event because one of the obtainable characters in Girls Frontline 2 talked to a male character, who isn't the protagonist (who isn't even a self-insert protagonist, hasn't been for fucking years). Incels are a bottomless well of comedy.

Ricecels are on a whole other level, they did this with a Genshin character too. If I'm not mistaken, the character could turn into a cat, therefore the ricecels started killing stray cats in impotent rage.

Their issue with GF2, going off machine translated posts, is that it was something to do with a timeskip and the returning characters from the first game having complete amnesia about the protagonist. They got mad at the internet at the thought they were being NTR'd by that male NPC.

As someone who actually follows the franchise, it's all bullshit. The characters don't have amnesia at all. The event that upset them (that was never released, it was datamined) was recently translated in full, and it ends with the girl reporting "the guy who NTRs you" to the police for terrorism and him getting gulag'd. Then he sends her a sentimental gift from prison, and you can sell it for a single gacha roll.

My brain is confused listening to Cecilia.

I hear "Kiara" mannerisms because she's German ESL which I've now just associated with Kiara and being abrasive.

But her voice isn't as high and annoying so It's not annoying to listen to.

It's like the stream watcher equivalent of triggering my fight or flight response.

Personality wise, she reminds me of Fauna. Of the three so far, she's the only one that's caught my interest at all.
