Doki has constantly allowed her parents back into her life, likely suffering the same Asian guilt many do. "We looked after you as a child, now you must take care of us when we are old"

So many within Nijisanji seem to abide by this mindset. It's one thing to want to repay your family, sure. However you can only do so much realistically. Meanwhile you've got Shu, formerly Mysta, Ver and Doki either buying homes or having the parents move with them into the new place they could afford via streaming. How are you going to have any ounce of independence if you are just overloading your personal and work space in such a manner? I don't even wanna bring up the other chinks like Enna and the attitudes they have. I guess it's very much a bug person problem.

Yeah I can understand this. Doki is probably in her 20s too so her parents aren't THAT old where they'd need to rely on her for end of life care or shit too. They're grown ass adults they should be able to take care of themselves. From what little I know of Doki she seems to have a lot of mental issues as is, so I'd imagine it's that on top of the parent thing.

IMO, from a historical perspective your average anime fan tends to lean to the right of things (at least prior to anime becoming mainstream in the 2010s with Normies), and from what I can tell she directly panders to that base.

People like escapism, but people also like to be oiled up in echo chambers that they've created for themselves so in a way both concepts go hand in hand.

I'm glad you brought this up because that's how I first heard about that DEI/BRIDGE shit too. Kirsche is also how I heard about the Trump assassination attempt as well, which is still fucking wild when I think about it. The anime fox woman was on top of that breaking news before alot of news outlets were even acknowledging there had been a shooting!

That being said, I have to really be in the mood to hear about politics from a vtuber. Otherwise yeah, it's just silly background noise when I'm working or doing other stuff. Which I'll tend to listen to hololive or one of the phase girls.

How the fuck did you manage to avoid knowing that this happened? This was one of the most relevant news stories in a long time, even internationally, for about 2 weeks until people forgot about it like they do with everything nowadays.
