General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Yagoo and other Cover executives own most of Cover's stock. The worst any outside investor can do is be politely ignored when they try to suggest something Cover doesn't want to do. Even assuming the rrat that there's been a detrimental change in direction is true, that would be Cover's own decision, and not one forced by investors.
I guess I misspoke when I said 'investors'. I meant cover's management, since they're the majority shareholders heh

Rrat: internal management panic response to japanese economical situation?

I know she's just going to pop up again on her indie channel but I don't think it will be the same.
For me that's the biggest loss. Yeah, Doobie and Sakuna exist, but the collabs don't. Not with the people they used to collab with. Maybe it's the same feeling people got when Wabyuu and Soya left their previous personas behind.

I don't think I will ever understand why she choose to do this, especially when she sounded so angry in her announcement and nearly all of her coworkers immediately came out saying the opposite of what she was saying. There is something really odd about all this that, without knowing the full story, will never make sense.

I hope she doesn't come to regret this.

I wonder what the odds of them being forced to make some kind of statement to quell the dramafagging (ala kurosanji black stream style) is.

Well Yagoo's statement about growing makes me think that the rate of debuts probably had a part to play in the entire situation, because debuting 2 gens within a year for EN seemed like an excessive amount to me. Even if Advent and Justice have both be great, it might be too fast, especially if they're pulling resources from existing projects to throw at new ones (something that corporations always do).

And with Kronii blubbering her way through with her foot in her mouth, sounds like they've been really busy with stuff.

You can just come out and say "I want there to be drama even though there aren't actual signs of it" so we can call you a retard and be done with it.

Yeah the statement made it sound like they just had some issues with their internal staff not being as quick and responsive to stuff talents needed as they needed to be. Which could fall under the umbrella of what Fauna said as that sort of short staffedness would be part of the companies direction.

And would also line up with issues we've heard of from other members talking about permission stuff being slow to respond (something many members have talked about), music projects being slow to get moving or progressing to a certain point before being stopped for some previously unforseen reason. (things I know at least Gura and Calli have talked about)

At any rate it's good that Yagoo addressed it, And if it's like their studio staff situation we've at least seen evidence that when they identify issues like that publicly they actually do do things about it to address it.

I genuinely just believe it's the amount of work/permissions and travel. Combined just wears you down.

But, I bet that if Faunas Manager was shit and it caused her to miss out on projects and stuff she'd be pissed. If it's happening constantly I get why she'd just ultimately say fuck it and quit. I had a boss like that. Good company, good co-workers. But my manager was never around and when he was he was incompetent. It caused me and my team more workload and caused us to miss out on a lot of shit because of his incompetency. Ultimately they fired him but, I was left with another manager who was already overworked and didn't know our department. Ended up quitting.

Ex: we had way too many meetings to basically just repeat what was said previously. Due to all the meetings we ended up being delayed and having to crunch. 1 hour extra turned into 12 hours extra. 40 hour work week turned into 80-90 hours, We were always behind, always having to catch up.

It's almost certainly a change in expectations for EN girls. More travel, more idol training, and more like JP. (We love homework...)

Yes, because I want drama involving streamers I actually like and enjoy and don't just also feel a strange shift against corporations that others have also felt lately.

if in the face of those streamers you ostensibly like telling you that it isn't whatever rrat you seem to be assuming, your first reaction is "what if what they're saying is actually not true" then..... yeah it seems like you are more interested in reinforcing your personal rrats than reality.

Not every company is Nijisanji, there are dozens of things to point to that caused Niji to warrant the level of distrust they receive and led us to a place where we can't just take their talents word on things (most importantly being their former talents just coming out and telling us exactly that, that things are wrong and that the company pushes them to lie to keep up a facade) But Niji is Niji, and Holo is Holo. There's not been any reason to assume the issues of the former apply to the latter.
