Mori said yesterday something interesting, that her experience wasn't the experience of the other girls at the company. It led me to believe that, while there are some basic perks of joining Hololive (better wages, a massive audience from the start, little to no chance of drama, free food lmao), the rest of your tenure at Holo is entirely up to what managers you get, and that's completely at random save for a few case.I'm comfortable blaming the Jews for almost everything, but in this case it looks like a more Japanese error.
The one thing we can see that looks like a change or "new direction" from Hololive is increasing emphasis on sponsored streams, "brand deals," and mascot work. Fauna specifically lamented that she couldn't go on being an idol like she wanted, which to her means learning to sing and dance and showing you her progress. She wanted to stream games and do that, not be a pitchman for Capcom or a picture on a vegan ramen cup. Gura and Mumei and IRyS (more than others) have lamented their music projects being thwarted, rejected, screwed up, etc. All the girls who complain complain about "perms," i.e., management failing to facilitate their everyday work, the show they put on for us every day.
There are some fantastic managers such as Bijou's Gem-chan, who helped her move, who bought her utensils, who seems to treat her with care and even love, and there are others such as Marine's experience. She got a new manager, a rookie, right in the middle of her 4th anniversary, the poor girl couldn't get her anything, couldn't get her perms, and ultimately resigned in shame, affecting Marine's plans for her birthday. Managers get rotated, I don't know if it is yearly or monthly, or bimonthly, but they do get rotated, and if you switch managers right in the middle of an important event, pray to God that the new guy will not screw it up.
