Twitter (as it was called back then) did its algorithm thing and started recommending Pomu's (as she was called back then) personal life account to everyone right around when she graduated. I feel that was right around the time Kiara mentioned that she got some really bad news that she couldn't talk about that spun a bunch of rrats. People assumed it was Fauna given she announced pretty shortly after, but Gura makes way more sense.
Editing to add that a few people speculated Gura because we just got done with Ame. Having another genmate leave feels bad, especially given her usual push for gen unity since the start.

Oddly I agree on the first part but for the complete opposite reason on the second part. I had a lot more negative to say about Vshojo during the early days when Nyanners and Silvervale were around. the Org was significantly more coomer pandering and they didn't have much in the way of anyone I would ever enjoy.

With Nyanners, Vei, and Silver gone, and Mouse no longer pushing shit like her old coomer podcast or whatever the fuck that was. the "coomer" portion of vshojo has more or less been reduced to just Mel nowadays, who I don't really like but I also just shrug at like any number of other thots on the internet. She doesn't do anything that would make me hate her.

Meanwhile they have picked up people who I do actually like even if I don't regularly watch the org. Henya's great, Matara continues to surprise me with how completely she's abandoned her old politics heavy persona from pre-Nijisanji and has pretty good taste in games. Kson, while I don't enjoy her as much as I ever did coco (half of coco's content value was in her interactions with other holos which are long since dead now) but I'll still always like her as a content creator on some level.

If Vshojo would just be rid of Froot they'd probably have zero talents that I actively dislike (Zen is a faggot but easy enough to ignore and doesn't start shit in the way Froot does)

I don't think at all that many people here share my thoughts on it but I actually just think Vshojo has in general improved as an org year over year and that even if people meme about it their "vtuber retirement home" angle has worked out fantastically for them. and in general has succeeded in their angle of being the "corpo" that just stays out of the way of it's members and lets them do whatever the fuck while supporting them from the sidelines with minimal wrangling. (the tradeoff for that has been that I think someone like Froot just needs to be told to shut the fuck up fairly regularly)

TBH If the next Offkai was like around the corner from me, I'd definitely go. Lotta merch you can only get at conventions. It's gonna be funny if one of these tards tries to get Pippa kicked out again because of her friendship with Kirsche. I don't think Fishman wants to throw more money at them.

This really only puts more money in the pocket of the artists who they end up paying for. Offkai isn't making more money off of that, they are being paid exactly what they would have anyway, the money is just coming from fishman and not the individual artists.

It's honestly a brilliant PR move that can only garner them a more positive reputation among those artists and their communities.
