She talked about being a fatty a couple years ago who had to drastically revise her lifestyle and diet to get back down to a healthy (or healthier) weight. Marimari talks about working out as an outlet for her aggression and mental illness, and overdoing it to the point that she lost her regular cycle. These women aren’t out here representing themselves as female bodybuilders - it’s part of who they are but isn’t necessarily an element of an altogether wholesome psyche. Girls who look like buffpup in real life aren’t heathy either - they’re killing themselves on an endocrinological level, one missed period at a time. Vtubers mostly choose avatars that they think will be as appealing to audiences as they are to themselves - not ones that actually resemble their real bodies (most vtubers are Asians and none of them give themselves biologically accurate Ching-Chong eyes, nor tend to opt for jet black hair over pink sorbet). Vanishingly rare exceptions being people like Buffpup and Mint (on the extreme opposite end of that spectrum) or the retards who give themselves hideous demon models and cut their own knees out from under them in terms of viewership and dosh. They’re too narcissistic to understand what will appeal to audiences, or simply more interested in the larp.Hasn't shiina talked about going to the gym and lifting too?
Yes. And athleticism isn’t necessarily synonymous with attractiveness either - there's limits to how much muscle mass on a woman is still going to read as feminine. I don’t know how well buffpup is doing, but I assume she’s found a niche in the same way Mint has for being a slobby stoner. 99% of other models don’t look like them because they’re comparatively niche to what weebs will find attractive.Being fit isn't quite the same as being athletic.
