Apparently some JP backlash got to Calli and she had to private the begathon. According to a random JP commenter on a clip, her stream rubbed a lot of people the wrong way since that's not the "Japanese" way of getting things done. Not sure if this is just a CN bugman trying to sow dissonance or not, but I feel if Calli was really in hot water over this then something more would have been said through official channels or by her.

Yes i remember watching the video and i seen the word "mommy" on one of the clips and im 90% positive i also saw "she's your dragon waifu vtuber".

Next time im gonna dl the video real fast tho, also the video was posted by vshojo spotlights so idc why the fuck they gotta put it private

The SMT fanbase is exceptionally autistic even among the already autistic standards of JRPG fandoms, so I'm not surprised. A lot of people in the original stream's comments were kinda expecting something like this. And then you have the draconian Japanese opinion on copyright in general combined with a general morass of netouyos who'll get mad about anything that might even remotely imply that Japan is bad ("She's doing a stream that makes people aware of what a clusterfuck Japanese IP law is? She's stirring up hatred for Japan and is probably also Korean!").

This might honestly be one of the most irreconcilable cultural differences that EN is just going to have to deal with.

However, personally, I feel that her debut is a bit lackluster compared to Ollie. She doesn't really have any "unique" personality or charm. Ollie's constant scream, though irritating, still felt "unique" even if you compared it to Rushia's scream. That and I also found Anya's interest way to basic, with her anime and games choice tends to point that she is one "THOSE" weebs who worshipped MAL and the likes.

I really hope they improve the UX. When I was forced to switch from PS to Krita for work, my only thought was "jesus, this is not intuitive."

It's not designed to be a general raster image manipulation program like PS, but a digital painting program, so it's never going to emulate PS UX mores. Its interface is designed to have more in common with other paint programs like Clip Studio Paint and Corel Painter.

I just watched a clip of Oga teasing Fubuki about her flirty voice pack and making her listen to it, embarrassed fox is adorable. I reminded me of Kanda teasing Gundou about her flirty voice drama as well. I gotta get my hands on one of these haha

I took a bit of a listen to Mia Canasyna and if i had to guess, there's still a chance she could have reincarnated as Reine

I really like Nishizono Chigusa, Suisei’s IRL friend, Great genki girl energy in her game streams, and an incredible voice in her karaoke streams. Other than that I enjoy Amamya’s Learn English streams, but I agree that a lot of them have much more mellow personalities, so I mostly only watch if they‘re doing something interesting.

also, on the topic of Nijisanji, I think I posted it before, but just for sheer mindfuckery, nothing in vtuberdom has broken my brain quite as much as Alice Mononobe playing EuroTruck Simulator.
