Pains me to see Hana Macchia streaming during primetime US hours and only have 580+ viewers.

Really wish more people discovered her as she's like the perfect amalgamation of Ame's gremlinness & Ina's chill. Such a pleasant voice too.
I enjoy her stuff but alot of the games she plays are not that interesting. MMOs in particular are like 90% clicking around menus. Wish she would do some old school shooters like Blood or something since her Doom streams are really fun, especially when Harry is there.

wait what? Where did you pull this? Do you mixed this up with license to operate chainsaw? Because I swear you can just buy a chainsaw out of online shop or ACE hardware store. How would they even track licenses to buy sth?
Where I'm from you need a license to possess a chainsaw. You also need to get a permit to cut down ANY tree. Part of why people prefer to build around trees as knocking them down is a bureaucratic nightmare.
Oh god they got pay day 2 perms. This can only end horribly funny
Finally a game other than Tetris that I actually play. I wonder who'll be the teamkiller this time.

Also thanks for the clarification about Keekiara, not crossing politics with entertainment (though I still think that's colored based on whether you agree or not with the position) and lol chuds.

America is weird. You can freely buy and carry guns of any caliber, but if you commit the act of dining out while Filipino, you have to worry about some white CEO screaming 'Trump will kick you all out'. I guess the point of apolitical entertainment is we'd rather not deal with that shit while we're trying to relax.

Just to clarify, that is heavily dependent on where you are in America. States are extremely different from each other in a lot of legal, cultural and even environmental ways. Someone from the wooded frostlands of Maine is a completely different person from a San Diego Surfbro. And the gun laws reflect that.

Again, MMORPGs arent fun to watch.
The only way to bring people is to either stream endgame content, or interact with your fanbase on the game.
playing roleplay might help for us watcher to invest, if only.. if only these vtuber can use that as a feature just like they play minecraft. they will attract more people to watch and imagine those mmo fanart, Ina being tanker no longer imagination

Off-topic, I admit, but trying to explain what has happened to my country to foreigners is like trying to explain quantum physics to a child who just learned multiplication. The short version is this--we have 50 mini-countries fused together into one big country. Add to that some mini-countries have cities with entirely different cultures than the rest of each mini-country. Finally, the social classes are more and more divided culturally from one another and the university system only exacerbates this division.

Also, most people know the U.S. through movies and TV, which... well... inevitably paints an inaccurate picture of what we're really like.

Tl;dr, if you want to get Americans, you frankly have to live in different parts of the U.S. for extended periods of time and you'll eventually figure some of us out.

Take Shizuka Rin for example.
She's is an avid FFXIV fan, and often does both endgame content and fan raids, and she barely manages to pull above 1.5k viewers.
Kiara, with her boring JRPG that wasn't even streaming endgame content, shouldn't be pulling more views than Shizuka Rin then, but she does, no?

If Shizuka fucking Rin has issues pulling an audience playing MMOs, what makes you think the relatively unknown Hana, from the relatively unpopular ID branch can muster anything close to those numbers?
That's the entire point I was belaboring earlier. Hana would be pulling more numbers regardless of the game she's playing if she had the benefit of the Hololive branding. I mean FFS, Kiara's viewers aren't there for the JRPG - they're there for Kiara's constant yammering and her routine game sperg outs. And she gets the benefit of that kind of extraordinary viewer retention because of the wide exposure she got as part of Hololive EN.

I'm glad her steady diet of cheap wine and food delivery hasn't diminished that jawline.

MMOs arent fun to watch unless the streamer is streaming endgame content, that and PSO2 is boring as hell to watch.

mmos are like minecraft and gatcha, mundane shit that's perfect for something happening on stream while talking over it, endgame/farming is for cute noises when something drops.

the reason mmos suck for streaming is because they're not closed off and every tard can show up on stream and fuck with it. it would be like opening the jp minecraft server to the public.

now try to explain europe to a burger and watch heads explode.

I do agree with the idea that being part of Hololive would probably give Hana more numbers, a way better comparison is Anya though, they go for the same sort of feel and both are part of their respective company's indonesian branch, but Anya has 50k more subscribers and gets 300 more average live viewers

If anything I disagree with using Kiara as an example of the power that "Hololive branding" has, or any EN, branding was certainly part of their early boost but I would hardly say it has anything to do with their current popularity, they just inadvertedly became the door to vtubers for western audiences as a result of fucking drilling straight to the core of a practially untapped market, I would say that had WAY more of an effect on their viewership than being part of Hololive.

Also
they're there for Kiara's constant yammering and her routine game sperg outs.
I didn't get the need to point this out at all tbh, every single vtuber's lower audience when playing bad stream games or generally doing bad stream stuff are there for their personality, the same way people watch Kiara for her yammering and routine game sperg outs why do you think a decent chunk of Shizuka Rin's audience at the time watched her just drive a truck for hours. Why do you think Tamaki had some decent numbers when streaming herself singing Nyan Cat for 14 hours.

what do you mean america isn't really all about muh freedom?

Another day, another KING cover...

Also, poor chicken. I wouldn't say she's the VTuber equivalent of Asmongold until she forgoes showering for almost 2 months straight.

It's seem like The Phoenix is the most unlucky one in entire hololive member.

Just checked it myself, nothing from sooner than 2 months ago shows up. Simply incredible. Is this a belayed effect of the EN Collab Special (aka scuff curse) not affecting anything in either of the recent collabs?

I...can’t recall the last time a Holo got hit like this, actually. Haachama’s lore privatization is betwen her, management and/or new youtube regulations, Suisei was merely demonetized, and even Mio going on a 90 day hiatus wasn’t done by youtube itself but was a decision made by the chuuba themselves.
