General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It only took her almost 40 minutes and no Bug Arts, but Coco managed to kill her first monster. Watching her learn how to headshot and stun a monster made feel proud for a weapon I don't even main. She seems to have gotten the basics down, she just needs to learn how to use the lock-on and use the Wire Bugs.

luna finished monhunt rise wtf, I don't remember world being this short

edit: eeeyyyyyy, has ina ever mentioned her monhunt skill?
Yeah I was fearing this would happen. Compared to 4U, Gen/GenU and World, this game doesn't seem to have alot of monsters for main game stuff, mostly new low/mid tier monsters with World's scrub squad and some returning big monsters. We don't know about any other Elder Dragons besides the obvious final boss one, or sub/rare species or variants. Hoping the post-game has enough content until Chameleos and the new updates arrive. Base game World's endgame was especially bad in terms of content (farm Tempered Elders non stop).

I never understood the appeal of the Hammer, since it's too slow/doesn't have enough reach for me, but it seems really popular among the girls.
Hammer is essentially Greatsword-lite; a big, stinky DPS machine without the mobility issues or the need to maximize your situational awareness. While Greatsword has the nastiest combos by far, it requires planning ahead since your movement slows to a crawl while you have the thing out (outright stopping when you are charging it up). Hammer doesn't alter your movement speed, so you can reposition as much as you want and not sacrifice potential damage output. You are also encouraged to just focus on the head above all else, and there's something to be said about the unga-bunga that is the Big Bang Combo.

That leaves more room for Hammer players to think about the environment, which ties into another advantage - the Hammer is the best at aerial combat by far, even moreso than the Insect Glaive. The mid-air plunging attack is heavy-hitting and easy to abuse via ledge-hopping, and the sliding spin attack never gets dull. For players who still have yet to get a bead on Monster Hunter's mechanics, it's a good starting weapon.

Speaking of the Insect Glaive, I haven't checked if Rise keeps the aerial attack introduced in Iceborne. I didn't realize that the weapon needed even more air control until I was able to plunge straight into the ground like a lawn dart.

From my understanding, they did go back to the old formula and have the multiplayer hub quests and single player quests be from two separate buckets, so there's still a lot to do Multiplayer wise. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how much post-main quest content there is. I'm hoping it ends up being more like Iceborne. The Guiding Lands was a great addition and a good overall system to the game.

Meanwhile, Mio only just now got through character creation 45 minutes into her stream. A true gamer.

All this talk of Stardew Valley streams and here I am still hoping for the day someone like Pekora, Ame, or Moona decides to give Factorio a spin and show how truly autistic you can get by balancing bus lines and overthinking nuclear reactors.

One day soon. Maybe. Hopefully.

I honestly think Satisfactory would suit them better. Factorio can get a little TOO in the weeds sometimes, and the constant bug attacks as well as diminishing mineral nodes might be too annoying for them. Satisfactory would at least allow them to chill and get total autistic with it.

Don't worry, someone's on the case. We'll know if something happens

Help me out, is this better or worse than the guy who was supposedly tracking Gura's ovulation cycle?

Factorio would have the chat shrieking death threats at them for using anything other thtan the blueprints most players copy off of the wiki that have the most optimal/smallest arrangement + input output balanced, so I think satisfactory would be better. The way most people play factorio doesn't really encourage "thought" as they are already using answers other people determined for them, so its really more of a connect-the-dots affair.

Yeah I went to check out some leaks/people who already finished it. The main story is extremely bare bones, even more so than pre-World games. Magnamalo gets next to no build up and serves as a mid-game boss compared to previous flagships who served as an entry way to the engame fights (which is hilarious compared to how roided out it was in the demo).

There's also only 2 Elder Dragons in the game not counting Chameleos whoose coming later, with one of them having a Variant also coming later as DLC

I'm glad they fixed the weapons and went back to a more pre-World aesthetic, but I think I'm just gonna wait until more content drops or it gets an G version. Still looks to be a great MH game and good for beginners.

grief.... the FOV on the Chicken's minecraft game is making me sick, especially since there's that beacon speed buff

EDIT:
Kiara stole Moona's concrete earlier. Though Moona says it's fine, as long as she doesn't take too much
feel like this is miscommunication or something. Should've set aside some building materials for the chicken or tell her that this chest is for Moona's build

I want to tune into both of them at the same time but i think i just wanna turn on Moona only for now because she's more chill. Because god damn, Moona's audio is so quiet compared to Kiara's, especially with her loud voice. Not that it's a problem for me usually, just not what i need at the moment

I'm actually curious what Coco contributed to that ARK music video.

It can't only be funding, else she'd be listed as a Supporter.

My best guess is that maybe Coco brought ARK not just go Hololive but to Japan as a whole? Was ARK popular in Japan pre-Coco? Is it now?

Chicken took Moona's concrete and glasses I think. Talk about asking permission first, chicken?

Edit: nvm. Moona just took her to the place to chop wood
