I thought Nyanners & Ironmouse had been doing this for quite a while, well before the trend, and Melody was one of the figures that originally brought VTubing to Western attention when she shot to the top of Chaturbate. Plus Mousey doesn't really have much in the way of other outlets.

Coco’s birthday will be the last opportunity for Coco merch if they decide to have any. Expect it to sell out in seconds if not minutes. Don’t care what it is, I’ll probably still get it anyways if I can

Edit: I just remembered, don’t they usually announce merch the at the same time as their stream? So there probably won’t be any. I’d be happy to be wrong though

Yeah that's pretty accurate. I don't watch much VShojo so maybe this take is as bad as the haters: if I'm to judge streamers by the clips that people like to upload of them then Marine, Nene and Watame have nothing to offer beyond being old and horny or enjoying armpit water.

If there are goods they'll be announced tomorrow during the stream, but since she mentioned the original plan was for her to graduate before her birthday it's a bit of a crapshoot if they'll actually have something ready. She has mentioned on a few occasions that she has asked management if they'd be willing to do another run of Kiryukai Badges and Plush Buttplugs, so hopefully at the very least one of those.

The dream would be a non-limited signed postcard, but that'd be nigh impossible for a multitude of reasons. Though we're talking about a person who took it upon herself to wade through insurmountable anti-messages to unban each individual person that got fucked when Cover modded the spammers. Still not getting my hopes up though.

Worst case scenario, I'll probably end up getting one of the T-shirts that are currently still available on Booth. 1 2 3

Edit: I agree a lot of the criticisms sounds like people being total prude, but there's an undeniable truth to it. The Hololive talent aren't angels, much like women aren't angels, but when we see for example Watame being a creepy old man (dubbed Wata-oji by her fan group) it's kinda rare and is a nice character break, as opposed to just her character. Actually a pretty good buy. A hacked Vita lets you play pretty much any PSP game you want with higher performance. And the library is fantastic if you speak Japanese.

I feel this is more than a little unfair. You can dislike VSHOJO's brand of humour and content all you want, but trying to argue they're only there for the cash vs. the 'pious' Hololive etc is slightly disingenuous.

I mean, are we seriously going to argue that Sachiowo jumped ship from her Twitch streams to Hololive for the passion of the V-tuber industry? That a sizeable portion of scouted talents who ditched their previous V-Tuber model and smaller fanbase for anything other than exposure and money? Come on now.

Yes, you're right: many of the Hololive girls WILL stick around after the hype dies down, because they're either at 1mil and making more in a week than most do in half a year, or rapidly approaching 1mil and still making more in a week than most do in half a year. They are part of a seemingly sustainable company, constantly granting them opportunities to make money and garner new fans, and that will continue after the bubble pops (if it hasn't already).

A decent number of current VSHOJO members started off as low budget Indies who were doing it for fun, and they decided to expand. There's nothing inherently wrong with that. Nyanners is the only one you could really argue against that with due to her whole hypocritical loli bullshit apology stuff.

Mousey has been doing this for a long time, she's getting close to 4 years since she started streaming with one of the free facerig avatars on Younow, a now-defunct streaming website. Nyanners has been doing internet things for over a decade, but she only got a vtuber avatar in the last year or so, prior to that she streamed with a pink cat png, or occasionally facecam.

All of them started on their own barring Hime, who is just Sysnap. Even Froot had a following as an artist and was working on her avatar before Vshojo was formed.
