General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Gura is impossibly bad at Mario Kart. I think most people would have to actively try to be this bad -- constantly hitting into the walls and falling off the track.
Gura being deadlast in the Zako Cup? Lmao
Natchan is cuter

By the way, I don't mean to be catty. I still think Kekki is very cute. But, ehhm, why would you try to be an idol and not fix your teeth. Like her lower front teeth are in serious need of brackets and her front upper ones seemed to be pulled backwards. Oh whatever, I guess in Japan teeth are seen differently.
Its funny that HoloJP do their dental reps, but it makes me think if braces are used in Japan given their stereotypical formation of teeth.

B-b-but the numberfags at /vt/ and numberfag posters here told me NijiEN was a failure because they didn't have HoloEN numbers???? Lmao. Designs for gen2 girls look neat though I hope 1 and 2 have good voices.
I mean, if MyHoloTV, Tsunderia and PrismProject can have multiple gens despite not getting any numbers, I don't see why NijiEN can't

But the fact still remains that NijiEN is a bit of a disappointment given that they are from "The #1 Vtuber company in Japan".

They've been around for like a month or so, I also honestly don't think the higher ups at Niji are retarded enough to have HoloEN goals (which were off the charts even for Hololive) right off the bat, they're not doing bad but they're stuck at indie numbers right now.

Oh shit!

That's kind of why Mel is a vampire "who hates blood".

Ugh, now I get why people hate on Gura chat so fucking much, thankfully her mama won't understand what the hell is going on even with google translate lol!
Those aren't representative of Gura's chat, which is more about desperate(ly needed) backseating, spamming memes, :GuraPeek:, :GuraMM:, FEET, and superchats from Brom.

Apparently this is what Chigusa got told when she asked about Niji's goals at auditions; kinda sounds like typical PR sweet talk, but if there were at least some truth in it, it would make it pretty likely that they do consider EN a big enough success. I don't think anyone could be retarded enough to expect two million subs or anything like that. It's still been more successful than a lot of other branches; if anything, I'm fairly sure the only foreign liver with more subs than them ATM is Hana.

Speaking of Niji, apparently Anycolor's starting an academy for Vtubers. I don't speak moonrune, so this is from DeepL, but apparently they'll fully cover any entrance fees and tuition if you get chosen, and offer equipment training, vocal/dance lessons, and so on.

The day is pretty much over for me where I'm at, but I'd be a bit odd feeling if I didn't say that I hope Coco's Birthday was a particularly great one. She's cool, so I hope it was cool, in turn.

Huuuuh. Shit like that doesn't come for free, so I would not be surprised if this is the same kind of deal like what IRL idols get.
Also, that means that chuubas are still booming in JP if such business decisions come to life.

The ones with potential get to work under Nijisanji, so this is basically another way for them to weed out the best possible candidates, and at the same time, interest fledging chuubas to be loyal to them.

Just think of this like a company giving a student a scholarship. But in return, they have to work under them

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch the archive for Coco's birthday. It kinda feels like Coco feels some relief/weight off her shoulders that she's leaving Hololive for her independence and got a shot of energy for her final weeks with them leading up to her graduation. Watame showing up for abit catching her by surprise and the feels def almost got me. Gotta admit, think Hololive did some things right and one of them is all the singing and dance lessons their talents need to kinda do, either to improve or mantain their "idol" statuses heh. Bakai Mitai, Weather Hackers, and Pure Love def does not sound like her drugged up Mickey Mouse self (that or she was holding out on all of us). Truly a loss that this is likely one of her final performances like this (hope the graduation event will have some performances)

Her graduation stream is probably gonna be one of the biggest Vtuber events this year, bittersweet as it may be.

On a side note, anyone know how tf you use Mildom? Wanna try and follow KSON there but it feels just a step above NND of archaic bs.

Do we ever have VTuber graduation procession like Coco's? What come close to it?
Coco's graduation feels like a festival. The chain of collaborations feels like parts of a festival with the final live show as the main attraction.

Do you think this will become the norm for Hololive graduation? Or just a few members will get this treatment?

As long as chuba in hololive didnt fucked up hard, i think it would be the norm

Reactions: Blatant hypocrite

The overwhelming majority of Indies do not get 1.5-2K concurrent viewers. Only the top dogs, and those normally get their followings from being related in some way to Hololive.

It's less so that LazuLight are doing 'indie numbers' and moreso that everyone but Hololive are doing 'normal' numbers. ANYCOLOR are a business, they wouldn't throw more money at a branch if it wasn't sustainable or we would have seen it with NijiIN. I would hope we can put the conversation of 'Were LazuLight successful?' to bed with this.

I think Coco fight hard for it to set the example. She said multiple time that initially she was suppose to graduated by now, and that the time we're having is something she fought for. I don't know if she think that much ahead, but this festive feel of graduation going to be Coco last greatest achievement for Hololive and a gift to the remaining girls. No more will your achievement be dusted just because when the time come, they leave the company for greener field.

Proper dental care has become much more widespread lately, but you can still see some of the girls talking about frequent toothaches or how they haven't visited a dentist in their life.

Fun fact: Until the late 90s, Japanese toothpaste was not required to have fluoride and most brands did not include it. So even rigorous tooth brushers would often develop serious dental problems. The only thing that really stopped Japan from being ground zero for a dental apocalypse was the relatively low levels of sugar consumption.
