General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Critical levels of copium on display tbh.

Coco has already said she isn't coming back, nor is she accepting a managerial position. She's said she's not allowed on the Minecraft servers or anything, and we know for a fact she plans on ramping up her activity as KSON in the wake of all this. Her actions have been very deliberate and very well thought out and everyone internally has listened to her reasonings and understood.

She isn't coming back. There's more to her life than being tethered to Hololive, and with a CV and connections like hers under her belt, she's almost definitely going to be moving onto something more future proof for her career. These V-Tubers graduate and they don't return. No one is having this discussion about 'maybe Lulu will come back when she isn't burned out', 'maybe Yuya will come back when she achieves her degree in law'.

Just accept that July 1 is the Curtain Call, and then in the unlikely event she shows up as a guest somewhere in the future, it'll be a welcome surprise, rather than a letdown of expectations.

No-one is talking about lulu coming back because she's a very different person with different reasons for leaving a different company, who never said anything about the possibility of returning and has no ambitions about changing the industry.
Coco has all but stated she's making her own vtuber group. The idea that she's just going to sit on her roommate account or join a different industry is a far bigger reach when she has repeatedly talked about wanting to be both a streamer and management and how much she loves vtubing and wants to support it
Vtubers graduate and dont return is certainly the norm but so it having their channel deleted and never being mentioned again, these are all things she doesnt like and is challenging.
It would be copium if she didnt already change the industry multiple ways.

If nothing else, she wouldnt have made those promises to Sora, Luna, Watame, Polka etc if she didnt intend to keep them

Reminder that your favorite girl isn't Kino like Soda and therefore is shit.

This campaign is gonna be a shitfest unless Calli intervenes a lot

They could still structure campaigns more about investigation and handling encounters with good preparation, to make better use of Yuul's skillset. And for a tank, they got Scout's abs (and Stamina 3 + good melee skills).

What a great session, though. Gura had problems reaching decisions under pressure and lost track of her abilities (and pants), but it was tense.
Now we wait for art of pantsless Scout.

Stream's wrapping up so it looks like we won't get to see Gura's in the moment reaction to surpassing Kizuna AI's subscriber count.

Gura kinda gave up role-playing Scout's personality about half-way through but it was still a great stream.

I'm curious as to how popular the upcoming full collab will be when the characters meet, all the TTRPG streams have been surprisingly popular.

Blonde steampunk tomboy with freckles and abs. Gura has a taste and it's certainly not a bad one.

Unlike her rolls so far.
It's good taste. Scout is strong and cute girl who's snarky, funny, but more caring than she let's on. Also bottom heavy as Gura said once, lol
Gura has good taste is girls.
Literal blood mine.
That ending scene was intense af. Really enjoyed that session, Calli is a great GM as always and Gura is entertaining as always

What a great session with Gura proving to be a phenomenal player. Taking action so that Calli isn't forced to narrate everything, roleplaying a country bumpkin like a champ, and being talkative OOC so that everyone knows what she's thinking. The third-act threat was genuinely harrowing for a tutorial session, but I'm glad that Calli and chat dissuaded Gura from just ditching/sacrificing Dr. Nice, even if he is an expendable NPC. Also relieved that Gura eventually laid out her intention to take her sister along to Mythton because leaving her at that cursed farm is fucked.

One concern this session draws attention to is the players' susceptibility to backseating YouTube chat, which I have to imagine there's going to be more of as the players will have idle time once group sessions begin. Personally, I'm fine with backseating chat, though I can understand some viewers being annoyed with it.

So as far as group dynamics go, it appears that Gura/Scout and Kiara/Tiara will be the go-getters who can be relied upon to take action and drive the party forward. Ina/Yuul's characterization as a social wallflower will be just fine as she can take a supportive role and act as the straight man to the antics of the other PCs. While I hope that Ame/Watoto improves in the group after her disappointing solo session, it's also fine if she ends up just being a quip-filled peanut gallery.

Here's hoping as well that the dice app is fixed so that everyone can do their own rolls.

Number fagging. I love the shark, but call me when she has IRL concerts, TV appearances, commercials, runs her own company, etc.
Well I mean, in fairness. I don't think anyone's saying that just because she has more subs means she's more important than Kizuna. Personally I think her being most subscribed is just really fantastic for her and should be celebrated. Though perhaps that other guy didn't present it all that well.
The shark is about to surpass kizuna ai
This feels less like celebrating an accomplishment of Gura and more focusing too much on numbers. Also how could anyone knows those sub counts are right considering YouTube doesn't show that much

Also, if you want to numberfag, they are tied exactly. 2.96million. Kizuna also has her birthday party tommorow, which has a paywall, but will still drive her numbers up. So even if you wanted to numberfag, who hits 3 million is still a betting man's game.

Oh I didn't know it was her birthday, well good for her. And that will certainly increase sub count. Though (not to numberfag) probably not to 6k which according to SocialBlade is Gura's daily averages. Kizuna's is 300. I'm simply explaining the situation and the unlikelihood that the birthday stream will be enough.
