General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I don't get it why Sana seems so "plain" unlike Pakos other designs from fgo. Like someone mentionend before the eyes do intensify the effect, but in the end the personality matters the most.
Maybe he went for something more simple because he wanted the rigging to be either better or easier to do? Im sure that would be a far too simplistic and reasonable explanation so, he just hates brown girls.

That rant over, at the end of the day I don't care what they look like, my only concern is their personalities. Plus we'll have to see how they move and how the individual streamer works their new models, from the snippet I saw on twitter they're all 2.0 and have much more accurate tracking.
The voice is also a huge factor. I can't stand Luna's voice so I mostly avoid her.

Thats pretty good.

I'm going to echo the same reaction to the HoloEN Gen 2 announcement as many here: Their character designs are overly busy and their lore is chuuni to the point of cringe. But then again, I had a similar first impression about Ina and Ollie and now they're my favourites among the English-speaking Holos, so I guess I'll have to wait and see. I bet their models' most obtrusive elements can simply be disabled and they'll just put them on for special events. For now I find Fauna and Mumei the most appealing, speaking of which

Sure it makes sense with her lore but it just so cringe to me with that naming sense. I can forgive it if it's just one "no name" especially since most Holomems so far have part of their names reflect their character's theme(s) but here it's just so blatant, boring, and lame using "NO NAME" as her full name with no subtleties. It feels like a weeb who wants a cool name in JP but doesn't know JP much and to be honest Mumei doesn't sound/look like a cute/cool name to me.

That reminds me of when Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (Does anyone remember that anime? Me neither) also had a nameless character called Mumei and weebs pitched a fit when the English translators chose to call her 'Noname', presumably because understanding how retarded some Japanese writers can be when naming characters broke their immersion.

So far the twitter interaction have been great. My favorites have been Kiara denying Baelz a job at KFP because she already has too much trouble with health inspectors (One of her communities long running jokes) And Amelia's, it will be interesting to see if they play this up at all during their interactions.

Airani Iofifteen recently cranked out a cute HoloEN picture. Hope she is feeling better.
Iofi has released her upcoming schedule, so looks like she's feeling well enough to stream again.

I'd rather have a bunch of wacky anime bullshit designs than anything that blends or bleeds together and seems samey. The biggest thing that kept me from getting into Nijisanji before Selen dropped in was how the majority are the same normal person or high schooler concept. There was nothing that popped or stood out as fun. I couldn't give a less of a fuck about the art quality if its just the same boring generic premise every time. In fact I was initially disappointed in the HoloFive reveal because it was so tame. The only design that really popped for me was Aloe and she ended up getting harassed out of the company.

I think there's a happy middle ground between overdesigned nonsense and "everyone is a bland forgettable schoolkid"

Iofi has released her upcoming schedule, so looks like she's feeling well enough to stream again.

vegemite? she's going to make herself sick again straight away

Man I'm looking real forward to Saturday for debut day for EN Gen 2. So far there twitter conversations have been good chuckle.

Model designs aside I really want to know what kind of talent YAGOO and the gang have snatched up. Considering EN Gen 1 was a experiment that resulted in absolutely flying success for them and the amount of applicants they must of had for the EN Gen 2 must have been unreal. Are we going to have another pro artist, music creator, gamer who knows now. After all its the voice/personality/talent that's keeps me watching a chuba, a well rigged & drawn model helps catch the eye initially though.

5 APEX Predators.

Scuttle mentioning Apex Predators inspired some very funny observations I've had about Hololive Apex.

Towa ditched her senpai. Roboco and Choco chose to sell out idol purity (not that they care) so they can make it out of last 5. Ayame is not only missing as she is any other day. Matsuri is still not good at Apex, despite tanking her viewer count due to dick starvation.

The best bets Cover have at not dead last is a deserter and what is essentially an underpaid, third class citizen.

Oh, and just so I can have a little more fun, the one time Roboco, Matsuri and Ayame were on a team they could not bribe Ayame into ever showing up for practice. Further more, they all had zero communication skills. For as much as "Hololive is a family" is a cute sentiment, but a dysfunctional family is still a family.

This is just shit posting in good fun (at least I had fun), brought on by some hilarious and hilariously unfortunate facts. Do not watch the tournament if you're hoping for Hololive anything, there is no "well they had fun" cause other tourney losses have led to salt in the girls.
