General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Somebody's jealous that they only have 60 followers on Twitch. He doesn't even bother to put on the stereotypical tranny voice either, no effort at all. His stream is full of dead air and inane comments, he seems catastrophically unfunny, and he unironically speedruns a Link to the Past randomizer.

I enjoy a lot of indie and small company VTubers, but people like this give them a bad name.

I love how they always say "But what if Hololive hired some talentless moron?". They want to use an example but they can't actually name one, because there's absolutely no reason for a famous company to do such a thing.

Or perhaps that's wishful thinking on their part?
People sometimes point to Anya as a talentless hack that Cover Corp managed to hire.

Which does beg the question - if a talentless hack like Anya got in, why can't they?

I can understand being angry at not being given a chance or even the same level of success as a corpo, but Christ, it just feels like people like these got into Vtubing or streaming because they thought it was easy money and would be rolling in Coco tier Superchat by slapping anime tits on their stream

I dont tune into Anya often, but is she really as bad as they say? What I mostly hear is that shes to sassy but has no skillset to back up her attitude.

>takes a week break to rest and fix her sleeping schedule
>proceeds to fuck it up right away
Ina-chaama...

Think Kiara but also has the HoloID debuff
>primarily panders to JP alienating her EN and ID fans
>tends to be very abrassive when speaking
>primarily streams games that aren't the most entertaining for streaming like RPGmaker games
>refuses to touch popular games like Minecraft
>openly dislikes her model, especially her tits, so she doesn't like to play around with it on screen- mostly keeping it at the corner all stream long, with only her head visible

Anya isn't the worst Hololive talent but I can also see why she also isn't the most popular

i don't watch Anya that much either, but what I've got is, she is more like keep playing in the safe zone. not trying to hornybait talking that tend to get clip. she got that sassy tone when talking yeah true (at least from what I've got). the only thing I've remembered about her very recent clip is that. cooking simulator where "if she break the plate, the stream end" with a perfectly cut scream. and that's already a month ago.

even in the JP Clipper who almost clipping ID member only, she still got the less clip.. mostly only when she is doing a collab with someone else, either her genmate or JP member. it's hard to follow her as well when she is mostly comfy talking in JP. like sure so far the feedback from JP Bros and that Taiwanese group are positive. but yeah that's it.

yeah she got that Kiara aura about how good her Japanese, but less screeching than kiara.. not that much though

  • Agree
Reactions: Diya and Rezza
Im intrigued about this. Its my fav Callie song.
Edit: Its pretty bad. She's off beat and offkey
She sounds so nasally, and no reverb from her voice.
Quoting myself to keep the info train linked together. New 4chan theory is in regards to Ouro Kronii.

So, obviously we only found out details about them last night in the premier video. However, 10 minutes after the premier, this particular piece of fanart was posted to Kronii's fanart Tag.

Clearly entirely too good to be whipped up in 10 minutes, correct? The assumed order of operations is this:
  • Share design early to previous life friends, knowing it was an amicable departure and that they'll support you in the future
  • One of them supports you way too hard and drops fan art far too detailed 6 minutes after your design becomes public, making it easy to pinpoint who you were
  • All your previous life friends only share the bare minimum for the others then go all out on sharing any and all kind of art related to you removing any kind of doubt that it is indeed you

4chan dug through this illustrators previous posts and discovered an idie vTuber who graduated 3 weeks ago that Kaztchen was tangentially involved with. May I present: Seru Kisen, Selkie vTuber.

Edit: if this is her, pretty ironic -

Another Canandian vtuber huh

Anya isn't bad but she really hasn't found any sort of niche to call her own. Her 'fuck you' attitude towards her detractors and even her own chat is probably the most unique thing about her. If she got more comfortable and confident in streaming she could probably take advantage of that attitude and make herself stand out more, but as it is she tends to be fairly quiet.

The one positive thing I'll say about this dumb fuck: I appreciate the "good burger" reference.

A sharp tongue for a kris vtuber huh, one that can rival the yandere tendencies of Rushia. Hell, maybe she can even play the tsundere route if she can.

About Anya, idk i think her streams very comfy and chill. Something like Ina but less seiso.
Wait a minute. Didn't Gura herself say in a Nether exploration stream that she wanted to sing stuff like this, but she wasn't able to pull it off? How did she cover those songs?
Because it's unarchived stream. Susantube can't copystrike it. And you can sing whatever you want.

That's not what I meant. She said that she tried singing songs like that in her own time in the past, and she wasn't able to do it properly. And from what I heard from clips, she was right. Not everyone can do everything, I guess.

I thought she is more confident than this. I guess this is how gen 5 feels when holoEN debut.
Anyone would feel inferior next to the EN behemoths.
It's the nature of appealing to a truly International audience unlike the JP/ID branches, so I cant say I blame her for that

That's Wada he loves that shit, just look what he did to Koyanskaya on FGO

For some reason she looks less shit while she moves but yeah
Late reply because this thread moves at breakneck speed, but Wada Arco is actually a woman. And she happens to be a woman of fine taste and culture if you notice how many of her designs have ass windows

Well, you are talking about zombo who took a break to seek professional mental help so not surprising.

Gen 5 at least have to wade through their genmate graduating without consulting them and EN debut somewhat crippled them. Ollie just getting confidence issue after watching EN2(and IRyS) getting scaled up chuuniedge presentation with their teasers(hell, even EN1 only had intro trailer like ID2 did)

>takes a week break to rest and fix her sleeping schedule
My ass she was resting, she was active in her roommate account and took a "break" to finish her new boatdaughter and loading screen for Azur lane

They will never be happy. Just wait till they learn she is just tanned they will probably flip their lid due to the lack of representation and muh diversity being snatched from them.
Did they forget Flare is there or they are this stupid ?

No, but any person that has paid attention don't care she is on the background , she is the Lamy of Indonesia and sometimes people like normal, comfy and nothing fancy streams , that's her niche

Edit:also she has a dedicated mootxican fan base after the spanish duolingo stream

Well she finally put it up ready to go, could be a great laugh or a great horror. I wonder if she will have a mic and everything.

Really reminds me when Pekora brought her mum on that one time, now that was a legendary moment to witness.

I mean HoloEN2 got a fucking three-part anime prologue prior to their announcement and HoloEN1 completely blindsided everyone with how individually talented they were. When you're watching that budget get sunk into one branch it's normal for her to feel concern.

You have the company's best illustrator (Ina), the company's most active musical creator (Calli), the company's most proficient polyglot (Kiara), the company's fastest grower (Gura), and Ame, who I personally believe is one of the most creative content producers Hololive has to offer (her debut, outfit reveal, the catalyst of the PNG prop trend, the radio and morning shows etc.). Gen 5 watched that happen on the back of losing one of their key members, and a Gen 6 is still not in sight as Yagoo steadies the ship from the apocalyptic tsunami that was 2020.

similarly, HoloID2 arrived when HoloEN became a little 'Old Hat', which is why the likes of Ollie and Reine - who speak primarily English - were able to seize an EN audience. But with each successive new EN Generation there will probably always be the fear that they're going to claw the EOPs away from JP/ID over time. HoloID2 are now the ones making way for the fresh talents and they are going to take some form of hit. They all are.

The recent new member releases have been EN -> ID -> EN -> EN. All English-speaking members are carving their audience out from the hides of the others whilst the JP branch may worry about losing their Kaigainiki to Holomen they can actually understand. Even if the fear is unfounded, it's not unreasonable.

I'd like to see how many Western viewers are still watching Aki, what percentage of Subaru's viewers are Kaigainiki, how many of Ollie's viewers are from outside of Indonesia etc. Those types of analytics that they can see but not us would give us a much clearer picture on just how much a new Gen shakes things up.
