General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Maybe largest in multimedia.

From the frequently bumped threads in Multimedia yes, vtubers thread is the longest since Wednesday this week I think, surpassing Star Wars thread. Unless there are longer threads buried here and inactive, I didn't bother to check.

I would also totally tune into her and Civia

I liked Artia clips, shared them on social media from time to time. Artia was a true gremlin/troll and I enjoy vtubers doing dumb shit, her shittalking in Overwatch was funny in my opinion. I also watched Civia once playing Super Mario Odyssey on YT stream it was very comfy. Dropped all of this like hot garbage upon learning about the malicious shit that was done and I feel embarassed when I think that I used to (somewhat) like Artia. Pippa doesn't, but as long as she's not one of the Cococaust deniers, I'm perfectly fine with it.

One of the jannies for Phase-Connect supposedly got arrested

From one of the Discord replies: "watches Pippa twice and gets arrested" :story:
Thank you for posting these, I had a good laugh, something I really needed today.

Kimitachi... we got too cocky...

There is a contest for ero fanart ("barely worksafe") with the tag "haachamarin", climaxed (ha!) with a stream on 26th September. I have checked the tag and there are already some works and sorry guys... I am already at my limit... これが俺の限界だ。。。

Guys, I hate to interrupt your interesting Apex conversation, but we have some doomposting to work on.

"doomposting" lmao. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Idk if they're ready to do a big jump in growth or not because all of their talent they have now already had fairly large followings before joining and with 5 of them it was already fairly well known that if any of them joined an agency all of them would join that same agency, the only "new" one at first was Hime. Most people foresaw Veibae getting in, and Haruka has been theorized on. Snuffy was for a while but iirc someone on /vt/ pointed out she's discussed other business type stuff that might conflict with agency work.
So that leaves the obvious questions up in the air to be answered. How many more streamers can they manage organically? Who actually has comparable audiences who would want to join? This time last year I would have said Mira_Pink but she has went more toward the v-thot route with CB streams (although I will say she puts on a better show than Melody if you're one of the people that wants to do more than just meme). As big as the schadenfreude erection would be for me to see kson join vshojo and so many tribal mindset doofuses melt down I don't see it happening, she might be on speaking terms to Melody but I suspect she has bigger plans than working for another agency as "talent." Hell, with her rep she could do freelance work and make as much as someone under an agency, even without ever having to mention her old hololive persona. But to vshojo, this could signify this means they're ready to establish themselves as a bonafide western-oriented vtuber group. So 10 years from now when the rest of the world catches on we'll probably see Nyanners face on a shirt at Spencers Gifts or something.

Considering Hime doesn't actually stream, they should probably remove her from the roster.

Imagine if, say, Kiara joined Hololive, streamed a couple times with "Keekihime" clearly visible on stream then never went live again as Kiara. Do you think she'd still be on the HoloEN roster or internally asked to graduate?

There's a weird image thing to Hime being on the roster. Syd apparently made Hime to fuck with Cover as a parody. No real reason to keep her on.

Veibae at least streams but even she's not exactly good for the image because of her shit against Hololive.

It could be argued Melody isn't good for the image either but I like Melody. Still, she is known as a cam girl played by a non-binary pornstar with multi-colored hair.

Yeah, Vshoujo recruitment reduce to "anyone that has collabed with the actual Vshoujo", money Snuffy gets in and they call it a day
I would say so. Feel like "We already have a candidate(s) but let's open a short recruitement to build hype and gauge interest. Maybe we can have a few more than Snuffy the one we already have in mind.

Melody is that bridge they have with Kson. No way she'll be drop any time soon. Plus, you say bad image, I say free publicity. Not like Vshoujo is known for being seiso idol company. And Molody actually have a personality, she just also like dicks.

What would Snuffy get out of it, though? She's already popular. I know Vshojo talents get a new rig every five minutes, but Snuffy's already set in that department. And she already collabs with them, so would associating with them more give her that much of a boost?
Being Vshojo so she will have all the corpo perks, networking is important

I kinda wonder if Hololive will actually collab with Vshojo again. Maybe the Nyanners and Mouse collab were already approved before Cover put a stop to collabs with them.

The reason I say that is that it was strange that the Calli/Mouse collab was only on Mouse's channel and not on Calli's. Maybe they told Calli she could do it but not on a company channel or something.

Don't know if anyone has seen yet, but Marine has gotten good news from the specialist about her vocal cord nodules.
Marine tweet.png

(Apologies for Otakmori clip, couldn't find someone else) After Marine was told her way of talking was causing damage, between resting and the changes she's made to the way she talks has helped. This also makes me wonder how many other members should see this/a voice specialist to check the affects the way they talk is having on their vocal cords, regardless of whether they "put on" a voice or not the ones who've had issues might be able to find a simple change that'll cause less damage. (Doesn't really matter, but the less clickbait clip of Suisei when she talked about changing her voice, made it sound like a similar issue, that she needed to relax her voice to reduce damaging her vocal cords. Watching her recent streams I can hear when ever she gets excited her voice goes back to how it used to be, not the "lower" calmer voice she tries to use now.)

Bonus clip: Now that Marine has mostly recovered, I can go back and really enjoy how funny her voice was right before taking a break. Also I really wish more of their managers would put the foot down and stop them from doing things that are clearly detrimental to their health and possibly shortening how long they'll be able to stay in Hololive.

One thing I'm curious about is if the Holo/Niji personalities are allowed to freely heart or pin YT comments and comment on fan videos without asking their managers. I put on an old Okayu stream from early last year as background noise and almost every comment had a heart from her. It doesn't seem like something they do anymore.

Also, the guy who was making a new wave of Experience videos got demonetized
