Well, I remember that the EN1 collab had no real set overarching topic and was just Ame trying to string together questions in her sleep deprived state. I take this as a way for interaction, without getting too into future plans and backgrounds. It’s not the topic but the interactions around it. It’s basically small-talk to grow chemistry but with a set topic that already kind of unites them. I mean, they could go for ‘who’s your oishi,’ convos but that could get awkward.

Edit: Ok, that was funny.

Already with some of the similar issues from the Gen1 collab. I see no issue here as this is just their first collab so there'll always be issues. Give them time and they'll improve over time.

They're analyzing the lore teasers.

I need to stop help...

EN1 had a cringy debut collab, yes.
It got better, yes.

But they never really reached a point where you could put the 5 of them together and reasonably believe they're anything more than co-workers who respect the shit out of each others' work ethic.

Maybe this group WILL work on it and it'll fix itself, but it's more likely to me that they'll break off into duos pretty quickly and put up with the mandated Gen collab when they have to.

Does anyone actually care about lore? I feel maybe this is a japanese thing that doesn't translate over. Half the time i forget gura is supposed to be a shark.

I love lore and I appreciate seeing Cover taking this kind of risk of putting so much effort into its production and gambling on the members to not start to dislike each other, as has happened in Niji. Character lore is also fine and can be owned really well.

But lore that amounts to 'In the beginning there was nothing and then there was anime' REALLY doesn't need to be the focal point of your first collab.
