General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Despite the game being such a drag after an hour, and a buggy mess that doesn't make sense (not to mention the incest plot twist that come out of no where that she haven't seen yet), it seems playing the game was the beneficial move by Kronii after all. 60% of the post on Reddit are moments from that stream, not to mention numerous clip and fan arts. The stream has all the element to blow up; funny moment (babe, sir, stabbing wife to rewind time etc), coomer baiting moment (hi honey, welcome home honey), and pure cute moment like Kronii unstoppable laugh. It's a winner.

I'm sure hyped for TTRPG. I wonder if IRyS and some of the EN2 will join in at later session. Would be cool to add some front line to the roster.
And this is the first time I heard about the collab with Haachama. Wonder how it will go, with both of them not good at either Japanese and English.

I think the main difference is that Pekora and Moona have been interacting for months and play together in many impromptu collab. They have real and proven chemistry with each other. To my knowledge, Mori and Haachama never collab or interact with each other or at least for more than a few passing comment. Considering Mori nervousness when it come to new people, and Haachama unique character. I don't really know how this collab with go. Well, at least it isn't some co-op game and focus on language, so that's one less element to worry about.
Not doomposting in anyway, I'm just saying that it will be interesting to see. I'll try to be there.

Oh for sure, I just meant the same in the opposite way: you never know what could end up happening in a collab, planned or otherwise.

I have to agree with this. That game is seriously dull after you start figuring shit out. I understand the point is to be repetitive..but it's too much imo. However, Kronii made it a fun time. I finally caught up on the VOD myself and it was great. She has just enough shitposting gremlin but plays it straight. It works very well. Shes the standout this Gen for me so far.

I’ve been watching a lot of clips from lazulight and obsydia without specifically seeking the brap fish out. She collabs a lot so there was no escape.
Brap fish quickly turned NSFW feesh aaand… stayed that way, proving her title almost daily.
She grows on you and has a lovable“dum” demeanor about her.

A lot of people are figuring Finana out which is a good thing.

Petra has really grown in the last week or so of streams as well. Even I was on board with considering her a bit on the boring side at first but she's just one of those you need to gamble on watching to have an opinion of. Her interaction with the other EN members has improved a lot too.

Sorry to come back to this thread just to doomer-post, but… the market continues to become more saturated.

The crash is coming. Short vtuber-coin. This growth can't continue forever. I'll go ahead and say we've got at max another year before the novelty wears off, exhaustion sets in for most viewers (it already has for me), and the English-language market starts to contract. View numbers go down, supers go down, and the smaller fish "retire" to go back to the indie scene or maybe dropping fries at Wendy's. With a reduced English audience, the ID branches are even more devastated.

(Hopefully one of the Big Two has the guts to debut a guy to their EN squads before the collapse. The success of Winning Son and Bonnivier have hopefully proven that male vtubers aren't just for thirsty fangirls and I'd like to see where they'd go with one. It would pique my interest in this stuff again, at least for a little while.)

That said, it sounds like the clock girl is a hit? Haven't watched any of these new HoloEN girls yet but I guess I'll hunt down some clips of her at some point.

I suggest just running her as a background noise. The game she played was whack anyway and just hearing her should be enough .
Clips so far are 90% overused Ara-aras and hihoneys.

On doomposting:
That shit started over a year ago when Hololive suddenly got traction in the west.
I think people overestimate volatility of this business. Sure, people are coming and going but I think vtubing has pretty solid ground. This medium is not going anywhere. It’s just streaming with extra steps.

It's like any other streaming gig. You either make enough you can support yourself + a few addons down the line, you make it so big you can technically retire off on investments made from stream earnings, or you don't make much and streaming either becomes a side hobby and/or some spending money.

You will always see a cycle of streamers (and by correlation, content creators ala Susantube) who will fall into these categories. And yea, the medium is not going anywhere. Once it found its niche group, you will always have a constant flow of interest/views. Kinda like the game industry with some genres and/or titles (eg. fps, almost same coat of paint yet draws almost the same crowd)

You know what's crazy? I had 2 Jerma videos in my recommended just yesterday. I've never heard of him or watched him. Ever. Yet here we are. Does YouTube recommend videos based on what your subs watch too? I honestly wonder if I'm getting those recommendations because of what some of the JP girls I follow are watching. Or it's just a crazy coincidence. The YT algorithm is a mystery.

nah its just a crazy coincidence, if it is, we might at some point keep being push by a random makeup tutorial since one of those girls must be watching one at some point. BUT you had a chance to get a recommendation if in one of those videos they mentioned one content creator. for example, if you watching a cooking video by randos and they mentioned KSI, even if you never ever watch it, or the channel has related content, you will get that one later on. happened to me

and mostly susantube hit the nail with random recommended channel around 2-3 am for me
