General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Ok I dont intend to hang around on this accursed thread but I just saw this and my brain is currently imploding in absolute confused horror, and I feel i should inflict this feeling onto others

Shannon released her final musical cover as a parting gift, potentially as she prepares for a move to Nijisanji.

Her 'Graduation' stream as a V-Tuber was last night on Twitch, but even in her YT channel's description is the announcement that her cover channel, too, will be going on 'Indefinite Hiatus'. This is exactly the same as what MarieFD did.

The cover is really pretty. I love NieR Automata.

It's either that, or she doesn't give a fuck and sees deleting internet footprints being too much work and she doesn't want her friends snd family to notice her deletion activities.

Or she's the type who react to unforeseen consequences. Who knows, who cares. Unlike Aloe, I really doubt this would result in anything but simple annoyance to her as I doubt JP antis has plenty of options to do real damage to a foreign girl who I'm pretty sure doesn't even live in Japan. All they can do in reality is seethe.

Remember that it is the girl's decision on whether or not they want to erase their internet presences as much as they can. Cover can't force that upon them, even when it is better for the talents themselves in the long run. If Cover didn't give advice about it which is doubtful after 2020(at this point, anyone who joins Hololive should have known the risk, you basically have to be as clueless as Moona to be that unaware about Hololive) then at least their seniors would have given them such advices, given their experience. Then it's up to them to sort themselves before debut if they wanted to.

Although I do wonder why the focus on the owl specifically? Maybe they see her as the weak link to mess with?
Could be considered the bugmen and nips anti had been viewing EN1 as unbreakable due to mostly grow up oversea (1 being Korean) after the whole T-word fiasco. They might think the Owl is the weakest link due to her naive (my money on the Owl is being zero fuck given). They can't do jack against Sydnap, so I doubt they can do anything against the Owl.

Keep in mind that the Owl is from Texas so there's a high chance she's a redpill conceal carry so those chans snowflake can't really her like how they stalk Gura (Gura is too much of a nice girl IRL and stalk conceal carry is like telling them they want some 9mm or .45 ACP candies).
"fuckboy". no surprise its mori favorite word. bet thats what she calls her favorite simps.
Or maybe from the past simp who only want 1 night stand that she thought they would commit a long time ago?

Edit: Looks like they also somewhat seething on Ceres (rumor boyfriend) as well though I doubt someone with 2 well-taken care cats (insert cat ladies stereotype meme) is really in any serious relationship to begin with.

Looks like JP antis and potentially bugmen had found some weak links within the EN. If the EN girls can overcome this, it will greatly strengthen their JP counterpart and hopefully destroy those gachikois snowflakes for good (they really is the storm that approaching)

Calling Mumei a Kiwi isn't funny.

Nice clickbait, eh? That title should get at least some people to click on this dumb post.
First things first though:
Because I know tone does not carry over well through text, I want to make clear this IS NOT meant as a serious post or a rant or whatever. This is just me sitting down in a weekend morning with my first cup of coffee and writing down some of my thoughts that i've had since Reine's drawing stream of Mumei. It's just to see what you all think.
Secondly, the reason for this post isn't because of some misguided and silly notion of wanting to protect Mumei from "bullying" (lol). I'd normally be down for this kind of joke.
But I just don't find it funny to call Mumei a Kiwi bird, and I want to explain why I feel her case is a bit different from Reine's and Kiara's. If this reads like it's just a train of thought, it's because it is, so forgive me my english.
I feel like "bullying" Kiara and Reine about their respective birds is only funny because Phoenixes and Peafowls are very majestic birds (and outright mythical, in Kiara's case), and you can't really make many jokes about them.
I've been in this rabbithole since before Gen5's debut, and I remember that Kiara's "I'm not a chicken" joke has been a thing since her debut, and it was the same for Reine. They were planned from the start, I feel, because some of the people at hololive understood that their respective birds aren't very funny, and so they gave them an alternative for the community to mess around with.
A Phoenix and a Peafowl are too far removed for us to joke about them, so Chicken and Turkey are funny because they are relatable. People eat those birds and there's tons of memes about them.
But Mumei is an Owl.
How many memes and jokes are there about Kiwis? How many thousands of videos and jokes are there about Owls? How many puns can you make of each.
Someone in another thread just a bit ago told me that there's nothing stopping us from having both, and that's true I guess, but things are often funnier when you commit to them, you see, and being halfhearted about the kiwi thing makes it feel a little tacked and thus not very funny to me.
Again, this isn't meant to be serious, I'm literally talking about a community meme lol. At the end of the day it's not the end of the world, I just wanted to put down my thoughts and see what others think.

I think they're just being autistic, no deeper meaning.

Someone else already posted it, but maybe this could be from when Reine called Mumei a kiwi during her drawing stream and people decided to stick with the joke (maybe?). But, I personally haven't seen anyone used the joke not even in her 4chan threads called her kiwi at all. So in other words this guy is getting defensive over a joke that more likely hasn't taken off yet.

Edit: In the comments of the post, someone pointed out a Twitter artist who drew a kiwi wearing Mumei's bag friend and having Reine's kiwi drawing in the background. But this is just one example so still.
