It happened a week or two after he posted his "pack your bags/start killing people" video.
Wasn't there a video where Yeager and someone else torture tested a RAS47 on camera with no cuts and after a couple thousand rounds it failed the gauge test? I can't find it anymore.

What I've never understood is, if Congolese jungle niggers can repair bargain basement Chinese AKs with sheet metal and shovel handles and make them work great, why the fuck can't we find one US manufacturer who knows how to make one worth a damn? I swear, it's like Soviet rifle patterns are cursed in Yankee hands.

I've had this discussion multiple times and it comes down entirely to labor and materials. The AK is not something you can key up in a CNC machine and forget, and the materials need to be of certain quality and hardness. Where every single US AK mfg fucks up is the front trunnion (this is the part of the rifle that takes almost all of the abuse, and arguably the most important piece) because they are too cheap to make them correctly, or not smart enough to import them from someone who does.

Also, the Soviets sunk a lot of money into building their AKs and also exporting technical packages to allied nations during the Cold War. When you're putting together a million AKs and subsidizing the entire process so that expensive factory doesn't need to be profitable right away, you can sell them for cheap. In any other situation, not so much.

This is something that a number of Youtubers such as Mishaco have pointed out - the AK is extremely cheap and easy to mass produce once you've fully tooled up for mass production and have ironed out all the kinks. Manufacturers such as Izhmash, Romarm, Arsenal, Zastava, and others have been building AK type rifles for 60 to 70 years now, but it took a large amount of capital investment to initially prime up the manufacturing lines. Moreover, during that time frame, they needed to learn to gauge just the right tolerances for all of the materials and parts in order to put out a consistent product, with a large number of the initial runs more or less needing to be hand fitted, before workers finally got down a process of properly getting a rifle to come out right every time. Even today, AK factories will run on a kind of apprentice system, where older and experienced workers will show new workers all of the finer points in getting the rifle parts to be manufactured just right.
No US mass manufacturer has the culture that would allow for that kind of monetary or time investment to be put into making a U.S. made AK rifle. The closest you'll get to that are parts kit builders, and they're mainly already working with all of the major components already manufactured for them - whether those be original surplus parts or new-build 922r US parts.

Given firearm manufacturing for a nations armed forces is a matter of necessity, it’s ok for a factory to not be profitable and the soviets didn’t care about that given their economic theories. They even gave away surplus weapons to communist fighters around the world just because they could. Nations like Spain, Israel, and South Africa during the Cold War cared about profits to keep the factories running and were willing to sell to less scrupulous groups to help keep the factories from shuttering. North Korean mismanagement of industry has lead to them importing almost every small arm and having only one factory that could produce rifle munitions. It’s a well known fact the North Koreans have ammo shortages.
Back when Chavez was alive in Venezuela during the Bush years, he worked to get an AK-100 series license so he could domestically produce the rifles and probably sell to the neighboring FARC and the Cartels.
When I tried to search for the VSKA test video I stumbled upon this absolute gem, enjoy. https://youtube.com/watch?v=mvmbuv-Tzng
Edit: What a butthurt boomer bitch
Those videos get cycled around every once in awhile. I think its a parody of fudd opinions and the type of stuff you hear if you ask 'preppers' for gun suggestions. The presentation is too clean for some random guy.
The only thing that gives me doubt is that no one has come out and claimed they created it. Though I guess its possible some boomer found Fiverr and paid a voice actor and video editor to put it together.

I think there's too much effort for a parody. Someone really put some work into this bullshit. Unfortunately the channel seems to be basically dead with no new videos in two years.
I really think this was some boomer who thought they were God's gift to guns and prepping and decided to grace the world with his knowledge and was immediately roasted by everyone and just rage quit after a while.
Also you should check out his best gun for the apocalypse video.
He used to be a PMC and he was involved in a rather infamous incident in which the column of vehicles he was in got ambushed. I can't remember the full details but from what I can recall off of the top of my head he stalled out the vehicle he was driving and then abandoned it to go take cover in a ditch which caused the entire convoy to need to stop for a protracted period, all said and done him stopping the convoy for as long as he did caused two or three casualties.
Before this came to light (and before the video of the incident got leaked) he would walk around talking big and kicking up shit with his Billy Badass wannabe mannerisms and his overly aggressive rhetoric. He would use his experience as a "merc" to give credence to his retardation and talked about how much of a badass he is. He became violently angry whenever someone would question his credentials and went way out of his way to lie about the aforementioned incident. He would routinely fly off the chain during the Obama era repeatedly making videos where he called for armed insurrection and made numerous threats and promises of retributive violence against people who pissed him off and then never follow through with any of it and release another video talking about how his lawyers told him to shut he fuck up and apologize. Basically the guy was the absolute worst representation of the first generation of the "Get really angry and scream about snow flake millenials from the front seat of my pickup truck" demographic.
EDIT: He's also a Fox News brand Republican and a civnat.
Further edit: I did a quick search and found out some more details about the convoy incident, a US Army checkpoint which was setup to clear the road of a bomb damaged vehicle had traffic in a gridlock and so the leader of the convoy that Yeager was in got out of his vehicle and fired warning shots into the air to tell civilian vehicles to keep clear of the convoy, this marked them as contractors despite them driving unmarked local vehicles and wearing local clothing. There were about 300m between their vehicles and the vehicles behind them and about 1km between them and the US checkpoint when they were attacked, a white SUV slips by them on a slip road, whips a u turn, stops next to the convoy, and opens up out the window with a belt fed MG. Yeager's leg had gotten tired from holding down the brake pedal for so long and so he took the car out of gear and set the parking brake on, when Yeager punched the gas the vehicle revved but didn't move, obviously. Not one vehicle moved and the contractors got out of their car to fight back, now the controversy starts here, Yeager leaves the vehicle and jumps into the ditch, at first he claimed that never happened, that he stayed and fought, after the video was released showing him hit the ditch he amended his story to "I jumped into the ditch after emptying my magazine".
To be fair, it's also way too much effort for some boomer who gave up after two videos.
And the part where he says the AR is only suited for militaries to fight each other, and then later claims the AR is useless against soldiers because they wear body armor...

But you don't understand the M16 was only chosen for its controllable automatic fire to suppress the enemy so they can be destroyed by artillery and air support. There was literally no other reason. Something said like three minutes before he brings up belt fed machine guns... and their ability to prevent you from maneuvering...
