Navyman replied on Brass Fact's video

Dude's trying to take back what he said while still doubling down. "Maybe you two are soulmates" what a fag. On the same level as schoolyard fights.

There has to be something in this guy's life that causes him to act like this, as far as I know the first time he ever went against anybody was 7ish months ago with Botkin (which he failed miserably at) and now a literal who hobby guntuber. Either he's a pathological asshole or he feels powerless in his daily life or something.

We could play armchair psychologist all day honestly, my thought on the matter is that Navyman has been around for a while, his first videos publicly available on his channel are pistol reviews from 2013, and he's decently well for himself since a lot of his videos seem to hover between the 20-60k mark for views, he's also a big HK guy I notice. I think he's just gotten fed up with perceived bullshit and now that he's gotten a taste for how good it can feel to record an angry truck rant and then post that shit up on youtube he wants to do it more.

Does the book actually have any merit?
yes and no. it continues the theories presented in "On Killing" and attempts to itemize and categorize the psychology and decision making processes and their outcomes before, during, and after the act of homicide in varying circumstances (accidental, negligent, during the course of duty, et c) but has a near constant undercurrent that divorces the killer from responsibility by breaking down and separating the actions into a series of predetermined causes that are unavoidable (as per Sam Marshall) because it posits that humans are naturally adverse to killing... nevermind that aggression is a determining factor in survival of humans and pretty much all animal life from the constant struggle to secure resources and shelter in order to procreate. there is an entire research field called military psychology that Grossman is not versed or lettered in that is barely touched on, despite interviews by Marshall in earlier works.

if you're interested, what i would consider a better book on the topic is the later book "On Combat" that contains much more actual research and draws some conclusions that are based on the assumption that media functions as a desensitization and indoctrination device towards violent acts. i still disagree with it's conclusions, but the book itself is an overall improvement and has better structure and material coverage including coping strategies that are used, have been used, and might be useful to people that are forced to use lethal force during their course of duty.

How is it that we have an ex-Airforce guy and the ex-Navy guy still out faggots him?
experience.

Brass Facts is a good kid. Gun videos/reviews have been a side project to his gun hobby addiction for a while, and only really started to take the idea of being a "professional" reviewer even remotely seriously very, very recently. He doesn't have the sink of being a shill all over him yet, and I think will be one to avoid "selling out" for quite a while. He has a real potential to be one of the next generation's big creators. I say all this because it would be a real shame if this NAVYMAN bullshit gets to him or just flat out cripples his channel.

As for the allegation that Brass Facts plagiarized content related to the video in question.... It's a fucking terminology and use-case video. There are only so many way to skin a cat here. It wasn't some super specialist knowledge that we are talking about, especially for the circles that Brass Facts runs in.

I don't really know how to end this little harangue other than to say that drama hounds can be the worst of society.

Edit: I noticed a couple unintended repeated words.

Karl infuriates me because there are legitimate reasons to distrust and disavow law enforcement as it is practiced in this country (civil asset forfeiture, qualified immunity, nation-wide unions that coordinate to usurp local sovreignty, etc etc etc.) but he focuses on this bambi-tier bullshit, which just makes any cricism of law enforcement or law enforcement personnel look like tumblr faggotry, which reinforces mainstream support for corrupt institutions.
It brings to mind BLM and Antifa poisoning the well on criticizing law enforcement because they're being fucking retards.

BLM and antifa are fronts for the feds and have been so for years. Their angle is straightforward: demonize local community law enforcement while lionizing federal law enforcement and the legal fiat that follows in their wake.

That's retarded. Federal agencies were black bagging BLM and Antifa peaceful protesters all last year.

Individual rank and file, yes. Their job is to be disposable. But its a different story if you look at (current) leadership and funding.
You can't have it both ways. They're either tools of the Feds or not. Just because they're encouraged here and there by parasites in our government doesn't mean these retards are Federal assets.
