Guy's a sperg that thinks the science of shooting at a chunk of meat and fruit is not a repeatable medium. Ballistics gelatin being made in some asshole's bathtub truly has killed the spectacle and enjoyment of shooting homunculi.
Ballistic gelatin also isn't an accurate representation of a body, it's just a repeatable medium. But even then ballistics gel testing is in no way the end all be all of ballistics testing since it's way too consistent to accurately represent a body.

To add in on the carcano autism, you have to aim it specifically. For 100m and lower, you have to aim the front sight way down into the rear. Past that its still kinda picky on how you look down the sights. I have no idea how to explain it correctly but that front sight has to be low as fuck with the rear. Also yes most ammo made for it is shit, i had some prvi rounds from the 90s that were long nose at exactly .268". Carcanos have a .257" bore and .268" grooves. I struggled to get 3 cases out after shooting them, the 4th over-pressured and blew out the primer, popped the casing off the extractor and was totally stuck. I have pictures of the casing somewhere. I think the bullet expanded or maybe was miss-sized. I've had good luck with the modern .139" ammo prvi makes today and I have yet to get steiniels LN ammo due to the shortages they've had. I enjoy the rifle, and wish ammo was more available.

Just buy a 10mm and learn to double tap.

BJ tests serve a use but, it's not a be all end all. Sadly like most hobby sports etc people over think a single test or number for quality. Some idiots think 500 Horse power is a better car, than 400 no matter.

I'm in camp hitting > math. a 32 ACP is way more dangerous into you than missing a 44 mag.

Bullet to body is the most chaotic and unpredictable situation anyone could investigate. A round that makes swirls and melon-sized cavities in gel could just as easily disintegrate or glance and ricochet off of bone, and enough people - more likely to be hunters - will tell you they've found bullets fully intact when they have been proven to mushroom in gel.
One thing to remember is that the ASP guy is a salesman/"trainer" so he's obligated to get mad at people dunking on gimmick ammunition.

That's the sort of thing I mean when I'm saying that BG tests really don't mean all that much and should never be taken as a be-all-end-all test. Honestly the guy who figures out how to ethically test on live animals and not get bruh'd by the algorithm/TOS is gonna be the guy with the best ballistics tests on youtube.

That Active Self Protection video was well over a year old. What prompted Paul to sperg about it now?
Like most unprompted Paul Harrell videos, autism.

Seriously, though: either someone linked it to him for the first time recently, or he got tired of people finding the video and linking it to him. Paul definitely strikes me as the kind of guy to wildly overreact when he runs out of patience.

If it was DMs he may have responded to the DMs but when it didn't slow down he figured it was time for a PSA and we're only catching him after god knows how long and his patience is well and truly at it's end. He could also just have a really nasty temper, I've never met the guy.

Pretty much. I have no idea on whether or not he has a temper, but considering his videos if he were in the farms he'd be the kind of poster who would normally keep things brief but on occasion writes an entire essay about a single sentence he disagreed with.

You can tell something really got to him when his explanations and anecdotes contain bizarre flexes, such as claiming he has never been to Florida. He has spent most of his professional life among small groups of people, and I think e-fame contains hazards that he is ill prepared for. He needs to rethink his level of accessibility to the masses.

Some nobody posted a video about it recently hoping it would get him attention and instead chipped away at his own subscriber count. Paul also talked about him in the second half of the video.

Ok that makes a lot more sense...to be fair, I've only made it to the 50 minute mark or so in Paul's video. However, my base point stands.

Hungry Handgunner is a retard trying to start shit with Paul and also springboard off of year-old drama that otherwise nobody would know about. That's about it.

I can't wait to see spergs arguing over whether or not to restore the defaced imperial chrysanthemum. Because you can just bet someone will want to restore it.
This have been a long going discussion with the 10 million times folded steel weebs since the 90ies and WWII buffs ever since the War ended. Japanese military hardware in the civie market been tapped out since the already mentioned weebs buying everything of glorious Nippon they can get their hands on.

It's a point that needs to be hammered into people's heads repeatedly: gun makers and mod vendors fundamentally have a conflict of interest when it comes to your rights and the laws as they are enforced. Vendors which offer solutions to legal workarounds--while those workarounds may be appreciated--have a vested interest in those loopholes staying in place, even if that means upholding retarded gun laws.

Reason he doesn't want to shoot groceries is because his fat ass is more worried about eating them

I find all modern CCW gurus a little exhausting. It's created a group of people who's identity revolves around what they carry.
Guntubers and Instagunners are partly to blame after the apparent contest to see how much uncomfortable shit they could fit around their waist. It's not uncommon to see Joe Schmo appendix carrying a full size duty pistol, extra mag, TQ, fixed blade.

Imagine your #1 interest/hobby being the gun in your pants. There are people on reddit and facebook, where the majority of their brain power is dedicated to CCW theory. Their favorite pastime is recording videos in the mirror; drawing and then concealing (all with a romantic self gaze as they look upon their badassery).

I carry and even make/sell a CCW product...but CCW takes up so little of my life.

It's a fault of our modern culture. People get engrossed into hobbies that are about buying and defending what are just tools. Normal people use tools for their purpose and that's where it ends.
