Man, American AKs are getting a lot better. Sometimes they can be dragged though Rob Ski's torture tests with only dozens of devastating malfunctions! And they only make for semi-effective pipebombs afterwards.

I'm so glad I grabbed my WASR when I did. Holy shit.

The only American AK that even stands a chance is the KR-103 and that's because Kalashnikov USA has the actual TDPs from Kalashnikov Concern so they can actually build them right (and apparently have). Everything I've seen about them confirms that they are the real deal and the actual domestic AK we should have had all along but didn't because companies like PSA and CAI are cheapskates who cheap out on manufacturing and design and pass that cheapness (and grenading rifles) onto you, their customers.

Who the fuck at Thunder Ranch thought this was a good idea? The comments are all ripping into them for supporting the shittiest American made AK.
Literally all about money. CAI even got Robski to shill for them at Shot Show. It's why I lost my respect for him and unsubbed.

Get fucked Karl, you literally used that page to spread a fake conspiracy that KF was trying to smear you as a Nazi.

Obviously I oppose deplatforming on principle, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get to laugh when it happens to a disingenuous asshole. I’m only human after all.

Did IO go out of business?

Also it gets worse, Century is doing MP5 clones too.
and they're charging 2800 for them.

No, IO is still around but they stopped producing AKs. They mostly exist under their original name, Royal Tiger Imports, but still make ARs under the IO brand I believe.

And yea, CAI got the contract with MKE after MKE and Zenith split up after MKE was doing super shady shit. The story can be found here.

IO is Royal Tiger Imports, dealing mainly in selling shitty Ethiopian surplus to gullible retards who can't quite afford the good stuff and don't know what the hell they're looking at apart from what a ~15 minute ForgottenWeapons video told them.

You left out their history of cancelling people's firearm orders then putting that same gun on GunBroker for twice the price.

What's the fucking point when you can get one from HK outright?
For American "civilians" any of H&K's fun toys were and are still unobtainium due to the company's and Germany's policy restrictions to said market. Plus H&K is iirc one of the last holdouts to not have manufacturing branch/subsidiary in the U.S. to sell to the U.S. market.

I thought that was classic firearms, or are they the same company?
No, they're not the same. RTI has been known on several occasions throughout the years to sell AK kits and rifles on their site and if said kits or guns show any kind of demand, they cancel said orders and put them on their GunBroker or relist them for more. I've seen this happen a LOT on different gun forums over 15 years. It's part of why Uli (the owner of RTI/IO) is so reviled.

I mean, SP5s are a thing now if rollmark is the most important thing to you. They're neutered and overpriced but they're way more obtainable than they used to be.

I’ve wanted an MP5 since I was a teenager. Shooting an actual select-fire one on a couple different occasions as an adult only reinforced that desire. However the asking price for the original HKs, as well as the clones (I just wouldn’t buy a Century MP5 clone period) is just more than I can justify for a 9mm “pistol”/PCC, particularly when I already have an issue maintaining enough 9mm in my inventory to keep up weekly handgun practice.
