General GunTuber thread

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I’ve wanted an MP5 since I was a teenager. Shooting an actual select-fire one on a couple different occasions as an adult only reinforced that desire. However the asking price for the original HKs, as well as the clones (I just wouldn’t buy a Century MP5 clone period) is just more than I can justify for a 9mm “pistol”/PCC, particularly when I already have an issue maintaining enough 9mm in my inventory to keep up weekly handgun practice.
POF clones are the cheapest made on actual HK tooling. Last I looked, without the brace they went for $1400. By comparison, my Zenith Z5RS was $2300 when I bought it.

At this point, If I do ever get into PCCs I’ll probably just go with the CZ Scorpion (assuming they don’t get banned from import). Or something using Glock mags, which I already have a pile of.
The Ruger PC carbine with the factory Mlok handguard has a sort of cool “dieselpunk submachine gun” aesthetic, but I can’t get quite excited enough about it to really want one.
I think I’d want something shorter anyway. A semi-auto 9mm with a 16” barrel isn’t all that appealing to me.

I think most CZs in the USA are made in the USA, or at least my P09 says it was made Kansas.

I've not fucked with Scorpions so I can't say. I've shot a Skorpion though and it was neat.

I will say, my MP5 is far and away my favorite firearm that I own. It's just a joy to shoot and laser accurate.

I was super impressed with the MP5. Altogether I put about 500 through the same gun, split between two different range sessions, so not a whole lot, but enough to confirm that “yes, this absolutely lives up to the hype”.
I’ve also shot a full auto P90, and that was pretty neat, but it has an unconventional manual of arms and I still think I like the MP5 better from an actual shooting standpoint.

I dislike most bullpup type weapons, and the P90 is an odd duck of an odd duck.

And yeah, 60+ year old firearm platform and the only complaints I've heard about them besides cost and availability is mall ninjas whining about not being able to stick 50 accessories they'll never use on them. Not that mine is completely stock if we're being honest (I have a full KAC set up on mine) but just dumb bitching about it not being a cheap firearm (hence peoples excitement over PSA's eventual butchering of the platform) or because of the real estate for toys.

InRange/Tacticool Girlfriend Q&A is apparently going to drop today. I actually love a good cringefest, so this ought to be fun.

over an hour and a half. Is this the longest q&a on the channel?
No timestamps, no list of questions, quality is reminiscent of tin can telephones - they really rushed this one out and neither of these men are comfortable.
Karl is clearly very excited to have a freak on display, TacticoolGF is both overwhelmed and unprepared for what he got into.

16 minutes and thirty seconds in. I have to stop for now. TGF’s discomfort is obvious. I’d like to blame that on Karl just being his usual off-putting self but it’s more likely that TGF just has a general social anxiety issue.

20:35 the Deviant Ollam himself asks a condescending question about whether or not TacticoolGF actually enjoys the vaporwave aesthetic rather than asking a real question.
Quality stuff! Can't have any serious or difficult questions for the poor, defenseless tranny. Like asking what his dream gun is or what direction he hopes the industry will take with all the new gun owners out there. "Do you really like Vaporwave? I like Vaporwave." is what we're going with. Excellent. Not creepy at all - well done, Deviant, really living up to your reputation.

I can't fucking watch this.... I tried scrubbing through it but it took cringe to a whole new level.

What the fuck is he thinking... associating with people like Ollam is one thing, but an obvious mentally ill tranny with a new found love of guns!! When the tranny kills himself or worse someone else, where's that going to leave the channel.

IT IS NOT A FETISH YOU BIGOT.png

I lol'd

God just the thumbnail is causing me to cringe. What the fuck is TGF doing with that stupid background.
Pretty sure most trannies are/have copied Contrapoints because it obfuscates their masculine appearance.

Phew.....that was rough. I had to watch it in pieces because I couldn’t make myself get through the whole thing all at once.
TGF did seem to calm down bit as the video went on, I think there was some definite social anxiety there.
But WTF is with the shit questions Karl was picking? How many fucking questions about “Is food X actually food Y??” Do we need? Also fuck the InRange patrons for asking such stupid questions.
And I thought the patrons each got one question per person? How did Deviant Ollam get two in there? Well I know how, but it seems like BS to me.

Just a reminder that we're coming up on a year of Karl running the Q&A's solo. Ian's are still informative and engaging, Karl's have nosedived in quality.

I'll leave it to you fine folks to do the math and form your own conclusions.

I wonder if the questions were actually legit from Patreons. I know most creators will open a thread on their Patreon page to get questions, but some prefer to get pm's. I'll be interested if some supporter has the inclination to check.

back when I was an InRange patron Karl would solicit questions via the InRange Patreon page and people would post them in a thread there. So back then at least it wasn’t done via PM.
