I believe he has Pancreatic cancer? The survival rate on that is terrible, probably the worst of them all. Sucks.
Yup, that's the one. Fuck that nasty shit. It's truly a shame. But I'm quite happy that Paul will give his channel to Roy, whom I'm sure will also have very interesting insights. Seems like a nice dude, from the few seconds we've got of him in this video.

Even under the assumption that his brother not only knows the trade intimately but also possesses the essence of showmanship, the show will, at best, be a shadow of itself after this. A very unfortunate way to see a well regarded and established come to an end.
Yeah I'm a little bit worried about that too. Paul sure was a very unique, and likable Guntuber in that ocean full of "Tactic00l Operators", "Big Burly Tattooed, muh tree of freedom, muh blood" types, and Reddit-Esque Channels. Not that afforementioned types aren't enjoyable as well, but Paul really was a fresh and down to earth breath for this sometimes, somewhat circlejerky side of YouTube.

One of the guys from the Harrell crew confirms it. Mr. Harrell isn't gonna make it. This is a sad day for America.

I have been interested in the Stribog since the A2 variant, very interested in it now that there is one in 10mm. I wonder how the Stribog A3 roller delay compares to an MP5 though.
At the 9:06 mark, he talks about this G9 ammo company. The hardcast 95gr "external hollow point" says the penetration is at 48"+ and the muzzle energy is around 1700 fps, which sounds crazy fast for a pistol cartridge. It resembles an Underwood Xtreme penetrator round (140gr though). Still begs the question of how G9 compares to other companies like Buffalo Bore, Underwood, and Leigh Defense that make full power 10mm

48+” of penetration seems like a good way to get collateral damage.

Misha, blind gun dealer, russaboo extraordinaire to the point of having a russian mail-order bride. Generally fine, as far as videos are concerned. Originally inhabited a Somethingawful's TFR subforum, where he either posted relevant content (a rarity), basked in the milquetoast attention that goons lathered him with for being le heckin' based blind man with a gun, or bitched about screen reading software.

Was understood to know his shit(tm) within specific niches, and from the perspective of an actual blind person.
Wait mail order bride? He's married???

Wait mail order bride? He's married???
This is some old TFR lore from SA so bare with me if any of this is inaccurate. He got a Russian mail order bride whose family are pretty into guns ~2010. He posted pics of his visit to pick her up and the family had one of those weird SVD clones with a sort of rifled barrel that doesn't count as a rifled bore in Russia in a weird 9mm rifle cartridge. If you aren't a former goon, The Firing Range (TFR) is the gun sub forum on Something Awful where Mishaco and Cinnabun Rifleman hung out because before 2010 there wasn't anywhere for gun owners under the age of 40 to hang out online.

That truly sucks. Paul was the first guntuber I started watching regularly around 2020 when shit popped off and I began to take the 2nd amendment seriously. Even after I gravitated toward the tacticool side of things, his videos were still enjoyable and informative. Heck, the Rebuttal video got me through a couple roadtrips and there's hardly any shooting in it.

His brother seems like more a stiff former cop RSO type. Regardless, best wishes to him and the crew on whatever they do with the channel.

Paul is the greatest guntuber, a perfect mix of experience and autism. Never shilled anything but poptarts ironically, didn't pay retard prices for ballistic torso analogs, and mogged every larperator with his ultra practical hunting jackets.
It's an interesting that he decided his brother will take over, it's hard to imagine the channel going on without him when the channel is named after him.

My guess is mostly because he has a crew and doesn't want them to immediately be out of the job. Even if it doesn't last under his brother it'll at least give them time to find other things.

This is the second youtuber (after tb) I've watched that has gone through this. It's no less shitty watching it a second time.
Damn, I actually thought Paul's cancer was mostly a non-issue for him but I guess it suddenly ramped up.
Pancreatic cancer is not a non-issue once it is symptomatic. Probably why he broke his hip (it can invade bones and weaken them or cause systematic osteoporosis). He just didn't want to dump his purse out on YT more than necessary. Continuing to do videos the way he has must have taken amazing will.

Hardcast 95gr? For what? 10mm is amazing for its versatility, but I just don't see the point of this one. If you want personal defense, 135-165gr standard hollow points are amazing. Huge cavitation wounds between 14-20in of penetration with energy numbers that makes .45 ACP owners cum in their khaki range pants. The 10mm big penetration crowd is mostly competing with magnum revolvers for a "woods" gun against larger game like bears, moose, boars, etc. 200-220gr hardcast is the sweet spot for that. It gives you enough juice to punch through any hide the United States has to offer.

I accept the possibility that a 95gr hardcast moving at near rifle speeds MIGHT defeat common body armor, but at what cost? The wound channels on the extreme penetrators are nothing to write home about, especially when compared to the insane destruction that a 155gr Gold Dot from Double Tap provides.

I also don't really mess with Underwood or Leigh that much with 10. I know a lot of people like them, but Double Tap and Buffalo Bore has worked out best for me. I've cracked the frame on 2 EAA Witnesses with Double Tap ammo, so it gets pretty hot. I also got lucky right before covid and found a few hundred loose 165gr Remington Golden Sabers bullets in .400 on gun broker and worked them up into a custom load for self defense. Golden Sabers were always my favorite load for .357, but I couldn't find a single company on the planet loading them in full power 10mm.
