I don't know if this is a controversial take or not, but I have a feeling the XM7 will be scaled back as either a markman rifle or outright canceled. If any rifle is going to be the true M4 replacement, it's going to be the M27 IAR. HK416 is already slowly becoming the standard issue rifle of NATO as it is. The Ukraine war alone killed the narrative that NATO needs to replace 556.

OK, new Donut blog came out about a couple of days ago and I finally got around to watching it.

1. Donut's kitchen flooded and cost him his kitchen island in the middle of it and the parties unknown who did damage control (as it appears to have happened while the Unsub gang were out of town partying) also did a shitty job removing the damaged floor boards, cutting them out in irregular fashion that will make Donut have to redo the entire floor in the kitchen/living room.

(oh and the damage is shown off/explained by King Trout, who casually stated that he has been a contractor for 15 years, which means he's possibly 33 years old minimum assuming he started straight out of high school)

2. Donut wrecked his car

3. Does a "I'm just joking! Or am I? HAHAHAHA!" joke about sharing Nazi beliefs ala his character in Tiny Guns 3 when shilling it (the blog covering about 2-3 months worth of stuff)

4. Jokes about formally beginning a mid-life crisis phase and "really getting into rocks", complete with buying a rock tumbler and showing off rocks he picked up.

5. Is talking about bringing back the "Daily Blog" thing for at least ten days minimum.

6. His VR's awning broke in terms of it not retracting back into the vehicle (forcing him to strand it at the gun range field)

7. More explicit homoerotics between King Trout/Donut to the point that I am practically begging for a "Donut the Right Wing Homosexual" arc if only to see King Trout/Connor reveal that he really is obsessed with Donut and not just making videos parodying stalkers like he does with Donut.

8. Unsub Podcast does bank filler episodes and Connor still isn't considered a core member of the cast by Donut's view of who are the core members of the show.

Well I don't know about that. Some countries have adopted them, yes. On the other hand, while 5.56 piston ARs are going to be the thing, H&K is not necessarely the first thing in their mind. Estonia adopted the LMT rifles, Sweden and Finland are adopting SAKO rifles.

H&K actually tried to sue the Finnish government for picking SAKO without conducting a proper trial and tender (which is actually allowed under EU law). They got slapped down hard by the Finnish market court, and are now paying the invoice for delaying the adoption process for Finland.

The cope on HKPRO intensifies. Some of these people have had their gun sent back to Tom 3 or more times now. Some have resigned in defeat to accept one FTE every few mags.


Some more fails I'm seeing:
-Making contact and gouging the inside of receivers and bcg not actually running on the molded in steel rails. Instant response is "ree! not oiled" when the guy is just trying to get a clear photo after cleaning.

-Overgassed to shit. Especially when running an RC2. Sucks to be the people who paid $600+ for Surefire muzzle adapters.

-Many many different pins backing out.

-Mushrooming pistons, rods, and other surfaces. TDP's are important when trying to spec out materials and their heat treating....
-Out of spec gas rings. Apparently HK gas rings work but are unobtanium.


I'll admit it takes balls to take on a project like the MP7, but Tommy could probably use some humility:

Sometimes buying hobby-grade conversions or projects at top dollar is not a good idea. With the catastrophes coming from him previously, even overlooking the 1:1 G36 conversions that got the ATF chomping at the bit about full auto parts compatibility, you would think his reputation would have floundered a bit.

The supposed heating issues were largely theoretical in the first place. Yeah, the point of impact is going to shift on the G36 if you put the same amount of rounds through it that would pop the gas tube from an AR-15. Metal (and plastic) warps when it gets extremely hot, more news at 11. As long as you are not using the gun as a SAW, there are no issues. And if you were to use it as a SAW, the accuracy probably wouldn't matter all that much

Like someone said in the Forgotten Weapons video comments: when this debacle started, Latvia (who is one of the few countries that adopted the G36 as a standard military rifle outside of Germany) put their orders on hold and decided to do a series of tests themselves. They didn't find any, and continued orders.

The MP7 was always outclassed by the P90. Both guns suck because 5.7x28 and 4.6x30 suck because NATO was retarded with the specs, but at least the P90 looks like an alien gun and holds 50 rounds in a compact package.

The only reason why anyone liked it was because it was unobtainium.

Ive never shot one but i held an unloaded one once and it felt VERY cheap. felt like one of those 15 dollar shelves they sell at a dollar store. I have no trouble believing its shitty. its surprisingly huge as well.
