I think he kind of answered his own question. Why would all the guntubers risk damaging their relationship with HK over Tommy? Common sense would suggest HK is worth a whole lot more to them.

This is insanely retarded. Why did you screenshot this post? No one is saying that Tommybuilt is absolved of all blame, its just that they are also taking the time to talk about how overhyped the MP7 is. Not many people would even care about the gun had it not been a unobtainable unicorn featured in a shitload of video games. If anything, the grand conspiracy of guntubers would probably love if it ran correctly and was engineered better than the actual MP7.

These retards are armchair experts and have probably never even shot the gun before. Defending some krauts who don't give a shit about them and purposefully fuck them over when given any opportunity. It's not like any of these SMGs or PDWs are better than any REAL gun, they're packed with compromises by necessity in order to do what they were wanted for. A 4.6mm hole is literally the size of a BB or pellet gun, wounding would be very unimpressive, almost useless without full auto. Whoever is buying these things deserves it for buying some useless thing with shitty ammo that's $1 per shot and expecting anything good. There's a reason MP7s aren't that popular, even among mercs and whoever else.

It's a sick gun, imo cooler than the P90, but I've never held the MP7 and don't give a shit about owning either one, or really anything like it in these times.
I'd rather see a .25 or .30 straight walled thing running outlandish chamber pressures in a slimmer package than what's around rn.

I have nothing to add to the HK discussion other than I've never cared about HK's guns beyond the MP5 because it was in so many '80s and '90s action flicks. The MP7 looks cool and that's it. The caliber it's chambered in sucks, and as Ian pointed out, there are superior options available on the civilian market. The B&T TP9 has its own problems and is expensive, but I'd rather own one of those than an MP7. I also don't care about the 416. There are other (and arguably better) pistol driven options on the market for people interested in that operating system. HK had their heyday in the '80s and '90s, and it's not the '80s and '90s anymore.

I got to shoot a few H&Ks through the years and my opinion of them is that they're neat. Not fantastic, generally not terrible from what little I got to plink with them. Just... neat. Cool novelty, but nothing anything far cheaper and more widely available, manufactured by a company that doesn't despise me, can't do.

Would be really funny to watch someone doing a comparison between one of those MP7s and a HiPoint carbine in a 2-gun match. You know, just for funsies.
